To JoBlo(question about screenings)

JoBlo, just curious. I remember I started reading your reviews in '98. But, anyways...

How were you able to get on studios' press lists to where you get to go to their press/advance screenings ?

and, if you don't mind me asking too, do you think that you'll be a full time film critic for a newspaper, publication, etc. someday ?

I kinda got lucky because I also got a gig on a local radio show (as JoBlo the critic) about six months after I started JoBlo.com, so they were able to slap me on most of the studios lists.

And to answer your second question, well, I just don't know the answer to that. God knows what will happen to the Net and the site over the next 6-12 months, and stranger things have happened! (although it's pretty obvious to most that I don't follow the "typical" film critic guidelines as most in the print media, so I don't know who will take me seriously enough to give me a shot....we'll see!)
