new moderators, how exactly?

This question has probably been asked soooooo many times and answered soooo many times aswell so here we go.

The new moderators. I have been offline for just over a fortnight and i totally missed the chance to beocme a moderator, coz i would have loved to do that job. Anyway i don't want any or the new moderators to take any offence with this question but what exactly have they done to become moderator i see some don't have very many posts, so surely that doesn't decide who becomes moderator. I just wanna know how they became moderator, coz im there next time if there's an opening on any of these forums: -

I think that it should be required that Homer gets a moderatorship next(Yes, I know. I am a kissass /ubb/biggrin.gif). He's been here as long as anyone and it's just fair since Bart's one. We'll have 2 Simpsons as moderators! I should have named myself Grandpa Simpson or something, then I could be a moderator.
