in the review of Battlefield Earth on DVD Total film said something along the lines of: what does it say about a film when the only caption is from a small website?

hehehe think they saying something about your site there jo?

Small website, eh?

Hmmmmmm, I wonder if that's the same reason why they have us linked on their official website in the WEB GUIDE section, alongside AICN, Dark Horizons and Corona's Coming Attractions? /ubb/rolleyes.gif

What do critics know anyway...? /ubb/wink.gif

Yeah, but ratings can be deceiving, dude. Read the whole review and you'll see what I mean. I dug the film on its "cheesy" level and the fun that it was able to convey. I guess you can say that I looked at all of its campiness (what others called "crap") and enjoyed it, so reading the entire review will probably give you a better idea of what to expect...

Ratings don't always tell the whole story...

JoBlo, don't worry you're not alone. My dad also enjoyed BATTLEFIELD EARTH.

This is not a joke. He's smart, not the average movie-goer, has a love for good Sci-Fi, and great taste in film.

So did Quentin Tarantino and George Lucas, but then again, maybe they were just sucking Travolta's ass... /ubb/wink.gif

I'm don't always think that things have to do with me, but Jo: Was my comment about Rocky Horror showing the fine line between camp and crap any inspiration to you, or had you heard that before. (I thought I was being original when I said that). /ubb/smile.gif
