I personally think it is.All you have to do is post 30 times.I think it should be raised to 200 or 300 in order to become a senior schmoe
Anyone else think that?

Hell no, just because your up there doesn't mean that you can make it harder for people like us to become a senior schmoe, that isn't very nice.
It's really easy. You wound't take more than three days to reach it.

I agree that I think it should be raised, you could be a senior schmoe in like 3 or 4 days and that isnt very senior to me lol. 200 sounds good, that would make me a Junior too /ubb/smile.gif

Shouldn't there be a few more categories than just Jr and Sr? I like to think of myself as a Second Lieutenant type of schmoe.

We should have it because some people stay up till 4 in the morning just to get a lot of posts.
I think there should be some kind of reward or something for becoming a senior schmoe.Something that the Juniors don't have access to........

Well Ebert, staying up that late does afford you the oppurtunity to kill us all in any one of the various Misc. topics, and that seems like more or a reward than JoBlo could ever provide.

This will probably draw some negative comments but...
it does seem too easy to become a Senior Schmoe. All someone has to do is to keep contributing to one of the games on the Misc. Non-Movie Talk without adding anything to the movie boards and they're done. It should either be a little tougher, or maybe just get rid of it all together if people are going to use the board to talk about things OTHER THAN movies.
But what does it mean?What is the SIGNIFICANCE of being a junior/senior schmoe?

The significance is that someone is actively participating in the discussion of movies on the site. In the real world, yeah it doens't mean a thing, but online it would be cool to let others know how much you're willing to contribute to the site. However, if you want to argue the point, I guess that's what the post count under your name also shows, so who needs Junior/Senior Schmoes.

But Ebert, while you haven't been here long and may not know from experience, I have been here since the start and can say with a fair degree of certainty that the Misc Games you started (with Hide and Go Seek and The Counting Game being tops) were the stupidest and most pointless threads I'd ever seen. It's just kinda like watching an Adam Sandler movie, you can't get over talking about how bad it was afterward, even when it's long over...
