Okay, this is isn't a rant about the spam threads that have been getting posted, it's about the schmoe's reactions to it.
For example, somebody introduced themselves and gave a link to their site and the next 10 posts were things like "SPAM!", "Does somebody smell SPAM?", "Can you say SPAM?", "SPAMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!" and annoying stuff like that. Nobody ever takes the time to tell them about how you're not supposed to do this, especially if it's a new schmoe who doesn't know any better or if it really isn't spamming in the first place. They just get put down and they make them feel stupid. They should just explain the situation t othem indstead of acting like assholes. Does this bother anybody else?

I was just about to post something like this. I think it is very annoying. I usually give the scmoe the benifit of the doubt and say that the newbie doesn't know any better (they usually do though... http://www.joblo.com/ubb/redface.gif) I hate all that spam shit though...

*sniff-sniff* I smell something...

I think there should be a rule on this board that if you think somebody is spamming then you should e-mail Joblo with the URL of the thread, I mean what good is saying SPAM going to do? it gets sorted out much quicker if you inform Joblo immediatly via e-mail.

Good point, JasonSlasher. I don't really see the point in writing SPAM, SPAM, SPAM all over the place either (it's really not all that helpful). If you, or anyone else, notices a post which might be spam, just email the moderator or me and we will definitely look into it asap. Or you can post your own opinion to that person on the forum ("Excuse me, but are you aware of the GUIDELINE on this board which doesn't allow...")

Sometimes folks just don't know the rules and it's nice to point them out: http://www.joblo.com/ubb/Forum10/HTML/005147.html

Other times, I do a little background research and note that it's a STUDIO PLANT and point it all for all to see: http://www.joblo.com/ubb/Forum10/HTML/005159.html

Thanks for bringing this matter to everyone's attention.
