Special for Star Wars fans.

I'm going to place some questions about the serie, and you are going to try to answer.

The first questions will be easy in order to receive quick answers.

Question #1:

Which was the original name of the 'Return of the Jedi' and why the name was changed?

Revenge Of the Jedi - Changed because the Jedi don't take or believe in revenge.

Yip, i knew that too. Jedi are too wise for revenge!
George Lucas called the film Revenge of the Jedi, but through some dissapointed fans writing to him he changed it, also realising his mistake.

Correct again! Very good.
Just for the records, in George Lucas screenplay of Episode I, the name was spell 'Ainlee Teem' of Malaster System. Anyway its obvious that god was correct.
Ok, let's give you something a little bit difficult.
The next two questions are about a very popular Star Wars character.

Question #5:

Which was the home planet of Chewbaca?

*veers*
02-28-2001, 06:50 AM
Chewbacca was born on Kashyyyk around 183 PE.
By the way flatt, Porkins first name was Jek.

Anyone want to try a veers' question?
What was the name of the Blockade Runner attacked at the very start of A New Hope?

fllatt

Zed

Hey *veers*!!!
I know you are a real fan of the movie, then this is a personal trivia for you.....

I guess you have heard about a possible history after Episode VI.

Then do you know, acording with the 'Post Trilogy Literature', how many sons and daugthers have Han Solo and Princess Leia after they married and which were their names?

[This message has been edited by Zed (edited 02-28-2001).]

fllatt

ok veers. just to let you know i might be a little off with some info. Leia was getting a transmission from (I forget the name of the planet) for the plans of the death star. she received the transmission from Bria Tharen. Is that good enough? or do I have to read that book again.

do you want to answer your question from zed or can i? please, please, please?!

*veers*

Too late fllatt, Solo had three children, two boys and a girl, the twins Jacen and Jaina(the girl), then Anakin.

And hey fllatt you're right(Toprawa was the planet by the way) but you missed the second part of the plan, go to Tatooine and find Obi-Wan and convince him to come out of hiding.

You are really fast in this things.

Let me see......

Question #7:

Princess Leia last name (adoptive one) was Organa.

Which other(s) character(s) that APPEAR IN THE MOVIES had the same last name?

fllatt
02-28-2001, 12:51 PM
none. they only mention bail organa as her father, but we didn't get to see him because he blew up. is this a trick question, or have i missed something in the movies that i've seen umpteen million times?

Zed
03-01-2001, 02:13 AM
There's no trick on the question my friends.
Prince Bail Organa from Alderan, in fact, have a couple lines in the Episode I.
But you are right about something. I'm not sure if this lines remains in the version that reachs the theathers.
(As the scene where Luke speak with his Tantoinne friend in Star Wars).
Just for the records, after Queen Amidala ask for a vote of no confidence in the Valorum's Chancellery, the screenplay says:

'Things settle down a little. The Federation box settles next to Amidala. PRINCE BAIL ORGANA moves into the box arena.'

BAIL ORGANA: Alderaan seconds the motion for vote of no confidence in Chancellor Valorum.

MAS AMEDDA: The motion has been seconded by Bail Organa of Alderaan.

MAS AMEDDA turns to the confused VALORUM, and whispers something to him.

BAIL ORGANA: There must be no delays. The motion is on the floor and must be voted upon this session.

It's hard to catch you with questions about the story. Then, lets try some history.

Question #8:

Between which days (of the year)has toked place all the premieres of the Star Wars Pictures?
(It is a relatively short period of time)

Fllatt, veers......One personal question, how many hours of line did you do on the Episode I Premiere in 1998?
fllatt is from US, veers lives in Scotland and I am from Costa Rica, then would be interest to knoe the differences.

I think I know what you are talking about, they were all released between 19th to the 25th of May.
Here are the official release dates
Star Wars: A New Hope - 05/25/77
Star Wars Holiday Special - 11/17/78
The Empire Strikes Back - 05/21/80
Return Of The Jedi - 05/25/83
New Hope, Special Edition - 01/25/97
Empire, Special Edition - 02/21/97
Return, Special Edition - 03/14/97
The Phantom Menace - 05/19/99

As for standing in line, there was no need in Scotland. The film took so long to get here , that the hype was minimum. Most of the average guys on the street has seen a pirate copy of the movie. There was a preview screening on the Thursday before the release, I booked my tickets about 2 months in advance. On the day just strolled in and took my seat.

I know the situation, I've been there.
In my country (Costa Rica), the movies premieres take so long, that sometimes the video (the official one!) arrive to the video stores before the theathers premiere.
For example, this happends with The Cell.

Question #9:

Which foreing movie inspire George Lucas to write the Star Wars saga?

*veers*
03-02-2001, 03:16 AM
It was a mixture of Kurosawa's 'Hidden Fortress' and wanting to make Flash Gordon.

Here is a question, which one of these directors were approached to direct Return? Is it Brian DePalma, David Lynch or Martin Scorsese?

hesterthe13th
