View Full Version : Name That Character
QUENTIN
03-31-2001, 12:51 PM
This is a new movie trivia game, one person names a character name, then you have to (without outside assistance, i.e. no IMDb) name what movie that character name is from. For every character you correctly match to the film they appear in, you name your own character.
Example
Poster 1:
Lester Burnham
Tommy Devito
Sydney Prescott
Poster 2:
Lester Burnham -American Beauty
Sydney Prescott -Scream
Craig Schwartz
Jack Manfred
Charlie Babbit
And etc...
To get the games rolling let's star with:
Laszlo Kovacs
Rolo Tomasi
Alfredo Garcia
Alex Cutter
Robert Eroica Dupea
Mick Travis
Raymond Shaw
Keyser Soze
Harry Lime
Harry Powell
Franz Beckert
Jim Stark
Vivian Orkin
Romulus Ledbetter
Verna Jarrett
Doris Lowry
Charlie Meadows
Harry Tuttle

Laszlo Kovacs - ???
Rolo Tomasi - ???
Alfredo Garcia - ???
Alex Cutter - Cutter's Way
Robert Eroica Dupea - ???
Mick Travis - I believe this one to be If, but I think that there may have been a sequal to this or something, I'm not sure.
Raymond Shaw - The Manchurian Candidate
Keyser Soze - The Usual Suspects (duh)
Harry Lime - The Third Man
Harry Powell - The Night of the Hunter
Franz Beckert - ???
Jim Stark - ???
Vivian Orkin - ???
Romulus Ledbetter - I'll take a guess and say The Caveman's Valentine. I saw this the other day and know that Sam Jackson's character's name was Romulus, but don't remember if it was Ledbetter or not.(By the way, the guy from Bio-Dome was named Romulus, but not Romulus Ledbetter)
Verna Jarrett - ???
Doris Lowry - ???
Charlie Meadows - Barton Fink
Harry Tuttle - I believe this to be Robert DeNiro's character from Brazil.

Name the actor & film for these charecters:
1. Jim Stark
2. Johnathon Hemlock
3. Pike
4. Lilith Silver
5. Sallow
2. Hemlock is Eastwood in The Eiger Sanction
3. Pike is Luke Perry character in Buffy. It is also a character from Treasure Island.
You got me on the other three.
I think there should be a rule of only one at a time.
Deckard
07-22-2001, 11:27 PM
I didn't know Buffy had a "Pike" charecter. Oh Well the one I was refering to was William Holden's charecter in 1969's Sam Peckinpah film THE WILD BUNCH.
Right on for Eastwood in Eiger.
I re-read the thread & realized Jim Stark was in "Quentins" original list (James Dean in Rebel.....) so I withdraw the question. The others are still up for grabs.
Unless three is to many, in which case. 'What film features the charecter called "Sallow" & name the actor.
