View Full Version : So....you think you know a lot about films....?
Ok, i hope this is another successful topic in this section, and i hope you like it, it's just that there hasn't been a real knowledge tester on this games section, so this is it.....
Three rules.....If you answer the question you may then ask the next question.
Rule two....You must know the answer to your own question.
Rule three...Remember, if the question has more than one part, then you must answer all the parts, don't just give one part of the answer and rely on someone else to give the rest.
First question....
1. Name the two people involved in screenplay duties on The Empire Strikes Back - 1980, and tell me the reason as to why two people worked on this screenplay. (P.S - George Lucas wasn't one of them)

Lawrence Kasdin and Leigh Brackett both worked on the script. There were two screenwriters because after Bracket finished the first draft of the script she died of cancer. Kasdin was then called in to take over script duties.
Second question...
2. Who was originally cast to play Indiana Jones in Raiders of The Lost Ark?
Tom Selleck.
- Who directed the 1965 secret agent film "The Ipcress File" ?

4. What kind of cigars do Paul Thomas Anderson smoke?
(only tell me the brand, don't need to say if it's "menthol" or something like that. /ubb/smile.gif) This is very hard, I know, but hey, look at the title of this topic. /ubb/smile.gif /ubb/smile.gif
[This message has been edited by Matias (edited 05-25-2001).]
That is an un-accessible question that has almost nothing to do with films directly. If no one answers it within a day another question will be asked.

Okay, this one is probably too simple, but what game did John Travolta and Quentin Tarantino play when Travolta came to audition for "Pulp Fiction?"

Sorry, it's not 6 degrees. It's a board game based on a TV show from the late '70s, early '80s.

Fergus

Hoffman's film debut was actually a film called, 'The Tiger Makes Out'(1967). Directed by Arthur Hiller, and starring Eli Wallach from The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Hoffman's part is small, cameo role, which is probably why it isn't recognized as his first movie role, but it is. The movie is alright, with some funny scenes. Nothing extraordinary like his next film, 'The Graduate'.

Fergus

This is undoubtedly a guess, but the only performance she ever gave that struck me as great and mind-blowing for that matter, was that of Martha in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" That has to be one of the best performances I have ever seen by an actress. She blew my mind. Since I mentioned that, Richard Burton also gave a terrific performance.
If I am right, answer this question:
What film did Charlie Chaplin want to be remembered for?
