you dont have to give the name of the episode just a description of what happened in the episode to show you know what your talking about /ubb/smile.gif

1st quote:

"you forgot to carry the 1 now you encure, the consequences, with the FLEY and the FLANG and the WHEYNUNFLANG!"

herculeez
03-23-2001, 07:53 PM
ok that was hard, it was from the episode where bart was taking drugs to help him concentrate on his studies more and he satrted becoming even more paranoid about national league baseball watching him.
The quote comes from the satelite he fires down from the sky when it sees a baseball star 'Big Mac' turning up on the scene, i have no idea who he is.

Next one: -

"are poo and ass taken?"

quite an easy one

QUENTIN
03-23-2001, 09:47 PM
It's Homer asking Lenny and Carl if the names poo and ass are taken on the bowling alley's electronic name card. It's in the episode where Homer rolls a perfect 300, and becomes a bit of a celebrity, tries to kill himself, reconnects with Maggie...etc...

"Grease me up woman!"

herculeez
03-26-2001, 04:15 PM
Thats Groundskeeper Willy talking to lunchlady dorris, telling her to put grease all oveer him cos "there is ney a beast alive that can outrun a greased scotsman"

ok how about this one :-

"And why did humpty Dumpty have a great fall?"
"because...he took his eye off the prize?"
"that's right you stay on the ball, you stay on the wall!"

Bart Simpson

HERES A QUESTION!

WHERE DID MATT GROENING GET THE NAME HOMER SIMPSON FROM?

HomerSimpson
05-16-2001, 10:39 PM
Homer was his dad's first name.

How about this one: how did Groening come up with the name Bart?

The Handeman
05-26-2001, 09:44 PM
actually ur wrong he got it by reading the book Day of the Locusts which has a character named Homer Simpson Booya!

HomerSimpson
05-27-2001, 05:44 PM
Actually, this is what The Simpsons Archive says:

"Homer and Margaret ("Marge") are the names of his (Groening's) parents (Mrs. Simpson is Marjorie).

There has also been debate on the group about the film Day of the Locust. It seems a character from this film has exhibited characteristics with uncanny similarities to Homer Simpson, and the character's name actually is Homer Simpson. It is unknown for sure whether this film has ANY connection with MG's choice of name, whether it is pure coincidence, or whether MG just took advantage of that coincidence."

So that has never been confirmed. The only thing Groening confirmed was that it was his dad's name. BOO-YAH! /ubb/smile.gif

Is it the one where Springfield gets the new area code? The radio station calls Mr. Burns, and they.... well, I guess you don't see it, but the radio station reads it out over the air.

Mr. Burns' phone number is 555-0001, we see it when Homer uses Prof. Frink's auto-dialing machine for his telemarketing scheme. Sorry that took so long but I just read your question for the first time. I haven't been to the board for more than a month. Well, I'm back.
