Finally saw this movie...........Snoozeville. Basically all the fighting scenes were the ones shown in the trailer. Whats with all the hype. I couldnt get into it. All i kept thinking was wires. And the movie didnt even take advantage of the dolby surround sound. Man whats up with these crappy movies lately? Oh, can anybody tell me

I found the fighting breathtaking and the film overall visually magnificent. I was entranced by Lu Shien's unrequited love story and Jen's antics. Gosh, if this movie put you to sleep what keeps you awake?

I loved the fight scenes, the story was intresting too, but it was a bit slow paced and boring at times, but still a great movie.

Ang Lee Melodrama + Yuen Woo Ping Fight scenes = One of the greatest films ever made.

I haven't seen this movie and don't intend too, i'm sure I'd be bored out of my mind too.
Maybe I'll rent it sometime when it's on video if I'm having trouble sleeping... No offense to those people who liked it, it's just not for me. Although some of the fight scenes they show on the previews look cool, but it's still not enough to get me to see this movie...

I'm sorry, but this was one of the greatest adventure movies ever made. I've noticed that the people who did'nt like this movie were all fixated on one part of the film (i.e. wires or the couple of minutes they actually take out to develop a plot). Also, dude, if you already have it set in your mind that the movie will suck, then don't ever watch the movie because you will hate it.

I went to see the movie, but didn't feel like reading subtitles for 2 hours that day, and skipped it to see O Brother Where Art Thou. From what I did see, it seemed decent, but the one thing I did love was when they used the word COY. Heh heh. Just love the sound of it.

Yea, I can't believe they considered this a "martial arts film" it was a love story drama that was pretty boring. It wasn't terrible. I hated the flying tho, they looked like Peter Pan. The fight scenes looked really fake as well. C

I thought CT:HD was one of the best movies of the past year for a couple of reasons. The movie as a whole reminded me a live-action Japanimation and that was kick-ass. The action was way over the top, but that was cool with me because I knew it was a FANTASY movie. The fight scenes were some of the best ever and I really liked the characters, especially Jen.

At the moment they are planning to make a prequel, not a sequel. CTHD is based on chinese fairy tale, which was third or fourth in a long series.
