One murder scene that did freak me out a lot when I first saw it was in American Werewlf in London. It was the scene where the nurse opens the curtains and that little Nazi dwarf came tumbling down on top of her with his knife. I really don't know why, but that disturbed me a lot.

If I had to name my favourite mass murder scene, it would have to be from Braindead (aka, Dead-Alive). That scene towards the end with the hundreds of zombies disappearing into the lawnmower was one of the grossest, yet funniest things I've seen. What a gory masterpiece!

As a kid clowns always scared the crap out of me, so It and Clownhouse always got to me big time.

Now, I'd say stuffl ike Cannibal Holocaust or Aftermath get to me.

I know it's not horror, but, seeing Steve Busemi (I konw I didn't spell that right...) getting shoved through a woodchipper in "Fargo" really stuck with me...

Me? Halloween. The first time, I was totally freaked out when Michael picked up that dude and shoved his knife through his chest, making him stick to the wall. It doesn't haunt me anymore, though.

Poltergeist 3 for me....watching it on TV around the age of 5 and seeing Donna come ripping up through Tangina's body. Really grossed me out and scared me to death with all the mirrors and kane.

Despite it not being shown?

(I personally am glad they didn't show it. I think it was far more effective without)

Exactly. It left the viewers wondering, but you could only imagine what it was like.

Gotta go with the vomit drinking in "Bad Taste". Completely disgusting, churns my stomach every time I see it.

When the zombies in Dawn of the Dead rip apart the bike gang member on the blood pressure machine. The intestines being ripped out and eaten is what did it.

It really is. I found it way in the back from early 2000. This is sam_i_am's only post, and something about just "feels" old.

Yes, it is one old-ass topic. Probably the first one on this side of the board. And I'm suprised that no-one else noticed.

More disturbing stuff:

**SPOILERS FOR THE RING**

Cannibal Holocaust had me going when they showed that impaled native girl -- that was right where my brain went into "wouldn't this just be SICK if it were really a snuff movie" mode. I didn't really believe it, it just became a predominant thought at that time, and I was thoroughly freaked by the end of it...
