Please say "The Haunting" on your list is the original ('63?). From the looks of your list I would guess so but it would warm my heart to know that the '99 version madeno positive top 10 list /ubb/smile.gif

Ooh, forgot about American Werewolf in London! I remember cowering at the sight of it when I was younger. I look at it now and laugh, after all it really is a comedy!
Silver Bullet was fairly mainstream I thought. Are there any other REALLY good werewolf movies? PLease don't reply with 'Wolf' because as much as the make-up and effects were good, the film itself was dross.
The Haunting was cool. I didn't mind the remake that much, but I was too busy admiring the scenery and forgot all about the story and other bits. That's one I'd have to re-evaluate by watching again. Can't say I'm really looking forward to it though.
I wish they made more vampire movies though. I loved them all.

Yes, 'The Haunting' I refer to is the original, not the remake, although the house they had for the remake was exceptional.

The only good werewolf movie that I can think of is 'The Howling' series.

Excellent nmilke. I must agree that the house for the second "Haunting" was exquisite, and this may have raised my hopes for a good film....causing me to be even further enraged with the shit that it turned out to be.

Very true, PackBacker. There was one scene in the movie I really liked, though. When Eleanor(forgot her name) was standing in front of the door, confronting Hugh Crane, I thought the graphics for that were pretty kick-ass.

House on Haunted Hill was good, but the eeriest part of the whole movie, for me at least, was the schitzophrenic(?) chamber.

when that really freaky Price guy was in the chamber how did he keep from going crazy????? yvonne

Very good question, yvonne. The only reason I can give for that is that he was crazy to begin with. "The doctor thought that, what made a sane man crazy, would make a crazy man sane." as said by Price himself, I believe.
