Question: In the movie END OF DAYS, what's-his-fuck, Rod Steiger, mentions something along the lines of satan's number not really being 666, but rather the number had been grossly mis-read and inverted. It was really meant to be read as 999 - as in the year 1999 would bring satan's return. My question is, has this been brought up before in other flicks? Is there anything written or recorded anywhere to substantiate this goof, or was this just fabricated by Andrew Marlowe and Peter Hyams on the spot for this movie alone?
I mean, other than the movie having serious flaws and poor casting to begin with (aside from Gabriel Byrne), it was the one part of the movie that really stood out and pissed me off...
