That trailer reminded me of Firestarter. Ya know, about a little girl with powers?

I heard something about this movie on the radio and it sounded like it is going to be really good - They made it sound like it might be another "Omen" movie or something - is it, or am I totally wrong?
Also, does anyone know when it might be coming out.

It comes out Aug. 11th, and it's about how a 6 year old girl is the worlds last hope. it is suppose to have an egyptian twist, with the book of revelations... Went to the official site, and it looks VERY cool.

I would say it was boring.
But like I always say what some else likes or doesnt. You might or might not like.

Am I seeing things or is this thread 4 years old?
Anyway, I didn't think Bless the Child was very good, although it wasn't a horrible piece of shite. The basic plot is that Kim Basinger (who's starting to look old here) is playing surrogate mother to this little girl with special powers(brings a dead bird back to life in school yard etc.) One day the girls real mother shows up with Rufus Sewell who is the leader of some Scientologist style cult that the mother's been in for the last several years to reclaim the girl.
I won't go any farther as to not spoil the plot but most of the movie is spent following Kim Basinger around, who by the way plays the party far too "motherly", trying to get her daughter back from Sewell and his cult. Christina Ricci has almost no screen time.
The big problem with this film for me was that with a face like his Rufus Sewell should rule these types of movies. But he keeps picking lame scripts. In my opinion Kim Basinger is way too anoying for as much screen time as she gets. And the little girl is a tad irritating too. Also this movie reminds me of the TV movie "Child of Darkness, Child of Light", which probably nobody remembers but me anyway, which is for the best as it was truly lame.
Anyway, like I said above Bless the Child isn't horrible but it's nothing I would run out to watch or rent. If you see it on cable you might try to sit through it, but out of the "Devil" movies that came out during that period a couple years back (Bless the Child, Lost Souls, Stigmata, End of Days) I would have to say Bless the Child was probably the one I enjoyed the least.

True dat ( The Limey). Lost Souls, Stigmata and End of Days kill that boring movie. Rent those 3.

i wanted to see this really badly after seeing the trailer, the films a pile of shit though, bad acting, bad script, the 2 things that grabbed me on the trailer, the rats in the bedroom and the goat demon ar only in the film briefly which really disappointed me
