This is the first ever review I have ever written so here goes:
First off I would like to say that I read the script before watching this movie, so I knew the killer and who and were people were gonna die or were the killer was. I liked the script a lot, but I didn’t like the movie as much.
Brittany Murphy did a fairly good job as the main character but I don’t think she was very good at some of the parts and wasn’t a very good choice for the role but she was fairly good. The other characters especially her friends and her boyfriend were really underdeveloped, but it’s a slasher movie so I didn’t care much about that. The best character was definitely the officer (I have forgotten his name) he handled his role very well.
The death scenes were good but they were different from the script. The death scenes in the script were a lot better and I l like the opening scene but in the movie they changed it and I don’t think they should of. They weren’t very gory but I watched the cut version so I cant say any more on that.

(Spoilers, only read this if you have read the script)

The Annette girls death has changed a lot and is now ridiculously short, it starts of creepily (The killer pretending to be some one else) but then in just to seconds she’s dead and all the tension is gone. It could have been good but its really not. The opening still has the same characters and their still in the same situation but they have made it a lot shorter and she doesn’t wonder of into the woods anymore.

*End of spoilers*

(Sorry Arrow) but there isn’t hardly any T&A and everyone is covered in blankets (But maybe that’s because it was probably cut out). The closest I got to was Brittany Murphy in her bra, but sadly that’s it.
It may sound like I didn’t like this movie a lot but despite its flaws I found it entertaining and fun and that’s all I want in a movie. It did entertain me and it never got boring so did like it but it could have been a lot better.
7/10

NO TNA WHAT THE F..CK!!!!! WHAT KIND OF ORGY IS THIS!!!!

Im still looking forward to it though, you're lucky to have seen it. Don't know when it will be out in the states...

The part of the officer is played by Michael Biehn of Terminator/Aliens fame...a great man...very underrated..

I just went to see Cherry Falls today. I didn't realise you guys over in the States were getting it later than us Brits, for a change! When is it coming out over there?

Well, my opinion on this movie is that it's fairly entertaining and has a good few laughs in there. The story is not too original and the killer is kinda predictable... when you're watching the film, you'll have a good idea who the killer is before the first half of the movie has gone by.

I read parts of the script but stopped halfway so I wouldn't know who the killer was. I really loved the idea of a mass orgy taking place so that the virgins could eliminate themselves as potential victims. Whoever came up with that little hook in the story is a genius, surely. I was disappointed to hear that the movie was rated 15 over here, which meaned that the film immediately wouldn't live up to the full potential goriness and T&Aness of the screenplay.

Brittany Murphy is not at her best here, but she does nevertheless carry the film through. Michael Biehn is brilliant as the sheriff and Jay Mohr is in his element. The film was described over here as a cross between American Pie and Scream. Don't go into the auditorium with this in mind because it's not true. It's fairly Scream-esque, but the only connection it has with American Pie is that it's a film about teenagers who want to 'go all the way.' The funny bits are funny, thanks to a nice line-up of peripheral characters, but the scary moments are not that scary. The flashback snippets work well in this movie, but the slow-mo shots got boring real fast. Overall, it's just another teen-slasher flick. Some good, funny dialogue with the usual dollop of clichés thrown in for some flavour.

6.5/10
