I saw The Scorpion King's trailer and i think it sucks. It seems to be so poor (performances.. sets.. effects.. everything).
i liked the Mummy films but this one seems horrible!

I saw the trailer last night too. I cannot wait to see the movie. And NOT because it sounds like a good movie. I am going to be very superficial when I go to see it...I am going to go to watch the Rock. Yumm

Rhe Rock? C'mon man.. he won't be a good actor (remember Mummy Returns opening scenes..). and the film looks like a poor TV film for boys. I wish the trailer is a failure, and the film teurns out to be half good as the Mummy. it would be great..

This reminds me of what some stupid kid I know from school said to me... He said: "Do you like THE ROCK?" I said no. He said "How could you not, he's even the superstar of films." Anyway, that trailer sucked. Horrible. Not a chance I will see this flick.

I really do not know about the movie it could be good or bad.

But I will say it looked to me simply like an updated version of Conan the Barbarian.

I expect it will be on par with those films.

I will see it, to figure out why the hell they'd release a Mummy prequel less than a year after the sequel with no one of the original cast (that's been a very powerful aspect in the previous films). Horrible. That's it..

It looks cool to me. Sure The Rock may not be Russell Crowe, but he is getting paid to look intimidating and swing a sword. I believe he can do that. Besides, he has gotten plenty of acting experience in the WWF http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif

Yes I am an egotist! I am quoting myself, but hey when you are right your right.

I saw FOTR again and so I saw this trailer again, I remembered my comment about how it reminded me of Conan and then it hit me.

They are using the music from Conan in the trailer, the exact music! Now tell me they are not trying to make The Rock the new Conan.

I can see it now if this movie makes any money at all there will be another sequel.

I seen this on The Mummy Returns DVD and i didn't like it, the trailer was crap and i agree with you all The Rock can not act.

Okay, you guys say The Rock can't act how do you know that? How many movies has this guy been in??????? ONE!!!!! Remember that you've only seen him on screen for 5 minutes, you can't base his acting ability on 5 minutes. You guys are crazy.. THERE IS NO BETTER WARRIOR THEN THE ROCK..... Yeah, I've seen the Mummy and the Mummy returns and thought they were good.
Now I'm not much of a Rock fan but his brief moment in the film is all he really needed in a way. Hell the guy's got his own film and I'll see it anyway.

Although at the end of the Mummy Returns, instead of being a BIG scorpion he could of come as himself and there would be a great three way battle between Imhotep and Rick. But I still liked it.

After seeing the Mummy Returns (appauling) i came to the conclusion that i was going to stay well away form The Scorpion King.
Granted it's a good idea, due to the fact that they casted the rock for the part so thousands of kids and sad wwf fas will want to see it, but man what an awful idea other than the casting of the rock.
The casting of rock was only good money wise for the creators, not acting wise...i mean come on!
