There a few films coming up in the new year starring female singers. Which one(s) looking appealing and which look appalling?

Aaliyah in Queen of the Damned - The R&B singer is an ancient vampire in the film, completed before her death in August. Her brother Rashad is touching up some of her lines. (Opens in February)

Beyonce Knowles in Austin Powers 3: Goldmember - The Destiny's Child singer appears as Foxy Cleopatra and has a song in the film, "Hey, Goldmember" (Opens July 26)

Britney Spears in Crossroads - Although she has a cameo in Goldmember, Britney gets tops billing in the story of a girl who travels the country looking for musical fame (Opens February 15)

Eve in Barbershop - She's a sassy Chicago barbershop employee eing two-timed by her man in this Ice Cube/Cedric the Entertainer comedy (Begins filming next month)

Queen Latifah in In The House - This comedy is about a prison inmate who busts out to be with Steve Martin, her unsuspecting Internet boyfriend. (Begins filming early 2002)

The one that sounds best to me is the Queen Latifah/Steve Martin film; seems like it could be very funny

I'll see them all.........I'm a fan of all the female artists listed......

One film I want to see about the music biz is called MARCI X which stars Lisa Kudrow and Damon Wayans......Kudrow stars as a woman who takes over a hardcore hiphop label.

I'll see Queen Of the Damned, Aaliyah was simply the sweetest thing in the world!!
I'll see Goldmember, but not because of Beyond-say...

What about Samantha Mumba, she's fine as hell, and she's in The Time Machine and rumored to be in The Matrix 2 or 3(or both) as the new Zee.

I will have to see AALIYAH, she looks great and has a beautiful accent, It's sad to see her for thelast time but it will be memorable.

I'll catch Samantha and Queen too in their movies.

The only one I'll see is QUEEN OF THE DAMNED, and it'll be for Aaliyah and nothing else. I probably won't be seein' GOLDMEMBER, cuz it looks real bad for the time being.
As for Queen Latifah...wasn't she in THE BONE COLLECTOR already?

Latifah's been in quite a number of films, but I believe all the roles have been supporting. This is her first starring role I think.

Also looking forward to Queen of the Damned as well.

QUEEN OF THE DAMNED and CROSSROADS... I love Aaliyah and from the looks of the trailer, the movie will be great. I'm also a sucker for Britney.
