There a few films coming up in the new year starring female singers. Which one(s) looking appealing and which look appalling?
Aaliyah in Queen of the Damned - The R&B singer is an ancient vampire in the film, completed before her death in August. Her brother Rashad is touching up some of her lines. (Opens in February)
Beyonce Knowles in Austin Powers 3: Goldmember - The Destiny's Child singer appears as Foxy Cleopatra and has a song in the film, "Hey, Goldmember" (Opens July 26)
Britney Spears in Crossroads - Although she has a cameo in Goldmember, Britney gets tops billing in the story of a girl who travels the country looking for musical fame (Opens February 15)
Eve in Barbershop - She's a sassy Chicago barbershop employee eing two-timed by her man in this Ice Cube/Cedric the Entertainer comedy (Begins filming next month)
Queen Latifah in In The House - This comedy is about a prison inmate who busts out to be with Steve Martin, her unsuspecting Internet boyfriend. (Begins filming early 2002)
The one that sounds best to me is the Queen Latifah/Steve Martin film; seems like it could be very funny
