Who should be cast in DAREDEVIL?

Who do you think should be cast as Daredevil, Elektra, Kingpin, and Bullseye in the film adaptation of the Marvel's DAREDEVIL??

Well for me personally I would love to see Edward Norton (Back with his American History X muscles) as Matt Murdock. I think Daredevil takes more acting chops than most superheroes and I think he'd be great at it. Kingpin always makes me think of the new and improved superplump Marlon Brando. But I don't think he'd be active enough for the role. If you're not too much of a traditionalist you could go with Mr. Marcellus Wallace from Pulp Fiction. I can't remember his real name for some reason. The others, I don't know. How do you get a woman to play Elektra and look like her but not be Carmen Electraesque? She's got to have some brains right. Bullseye, ya' got me?

Daredevil has to be Matt Damon or Edward Norton. But knowing Hollywood someone like Freddie Prinze Jr. or Ben affleck will be cast. Marlon Brando would be good as Kingpin.

Like an old Wizard magazine said, I think that Brad Pitt would be a great Daredevil.

Also, how about John Rys Davies for the Kingpin? Shave his head, he's got the nice baritone voice....voila.

Guy pearce looks to weird to play a comic hero.
P.S.:I think tobey maguire was a miscast as spidey,they should have put james franco in that role and tobey as a supporting character

I've been rackin' my brain trying to think of the perfect guy to play Daredevil and nobody better comes to mind than Guy Pierce, I think he's an awesome choice. I think he would bring the maturity and physical presence the character needs.

Yeah I hadn't thought of Guy Pearce. I think he would be good. He's been very good to excellent in everything I've seen him in so far. And he could play the "normal" alterego of DD very well. Not a bad choice at all.

Matt Damon is a good actor, Ben Affleck is mediocre at best. Plus, they're both way overexposed. Seems like they're in every big flick that comes out now a days. My choice for Daredevil would be Brad Pitt, I think that he would really expand the character and bring it to life, especially playing a blind character. BuddhaMonk, I beleive its Ving Rames you were getting at there, and yes indeedy, he would make a good Kingpin.

As for DD, Ed Norton in his muscle days would be a good choice, although as Matt Murdoch I cant see him pulling it off. Guy Pearce on the other hand would be my only other choice. The character of DD is fairly complex and there are few "hollywood" types that would be able to pull it off the way it should be done. But imagine the scene Guy Pearce re-living his Momentum role in DD "its like you know why you're here, you've smelt this place before (tap, tap) but you dont know when, why (tap, tap), can I feel your face...?" sorry, just a piss take there...
And providing it had the right script and the time and patience was put into it, so we get the background of DD and so on. I'm no expert, but there was a 5 part comic that came out about 5 or 6 years ago, sort of the origins of DD drawn by Romita, which drew me into the whole DD idea. If this is done proper like, it could be one worth waiting for. And how about throwing Tim Burton in the mix, to give it the right direction, afterall, isnt he supposed to be in line for the new Superman flick.

After having finally seen Memento, there's not a doubt in my mind that Guy Pearce should be Matt Murdoch and Daredevils. He looks the part, he sounds the part, and he would act the part.

Affleck is a good actor when he has something to work with (see him go the gauntlet in "Dogma"), and he's a long time Daredevil fan so he knows the character. Pearce could have been good but if it couldn't be him, Affleck is probably the best choice.

The buzz is that Micheal Clarke Duncan(The Green mile) is being considered for the part of The Kingpin. I don't think that's a good idea. I mean they didn't put Russell Crowe in the role of Blade. Why should a black guy play a white character?

I have no problem with Ben Affleck as Daredevil. He might not completely look the part, but I think he's an underrated actor who could get the job done fine.

I still fail to see what everyone's problem with Penelope Cruz is. I just don't. Her as Elektra would be a highlight alone for me. I can't think of any other name actresses who could do it (I don't watch Law & Order, so I can't comment on Angie Harmon). Regardless, current rumor is they're in negotiations with an unknown who fits the character perfectly; athletic, hot as hell, and she's Greek to boot.

Another rumor is Robbie Coltrane (From Hell, Harry Potter) is being "thought of" for Kingpin. He'd be pretty cool for the part. Another fan selection I keep hearing is Brian Dennehy.

I think the part of Elektra is crucial. I think in order to pull off the role she needs to be a hot actress that looks mediternanean that no one has ever heard of before. She needs to be very convincing so it would be best if she was a new actress that the public has never seen before. Sexy and smart! Good shape-not too skinny. Also,I think she shouldn't be too young (under 21)or too old (older than 26).

I agree. Personally, I think that a big name star for the role of Elektra is not the way to go. I think it would be a better idea to make a big name star out of a new actress. It would be good publicity for the movie (like Estella Warren did for Planet of the Apes), and make the character of Elektra convincing. She does not need to be Greek or even have a Greek accent. However, it can not be Penelope Cruz who has a Spanish accent and is well known for her Spanish heritage.

The character of Daredevil is not popular enough to attract a large number of movie goers. For this reason a huge name actor is necessary. As for Elektra, I don't think going with some big name star is right. I think Elektra will attract enough attention on her own (I mean lets face it, us guys are going to want to see a hot babe, not some unheard of superhero in tights). The movie is about Daredevil and I think the people putting the movie together would want the main character to stand out. And if the people making the movie want to do it right as it is in the comic book, they will not use some big name latin actress either. This will only make people think that Elektra is supposed to be Spanish. Use a new actress. It will benefit the movie and the character!

Personally, Eva Mendes is great, but I have to disagree. Eva is definitely not right for the role of Elektra.
