I saw Halloween at a young age,and it quickly became my favorite film of all time.I saw every single film in the series at the theatre(even 3),and now own them all on DVD.I've always loved the fact that of all the slasher films that attempted to duplicate Halloween's formula, they were never able to capture even one tenth of the artistry and magic of the original Halloween.I say this about the whole series also, even though they never approached the original, they have more class and(other than H5)are more mature than the others. They have also been incredibly successful. So why, after H20 so indefinitely ended it,are they slapping the fans in the face with this greedy and very childish attempt to keep it going? With all due respect,I think Mr.Akkad should have put a little more thought into what it meant to have Michael's head cut off. There isn't a whole hell of a lot you can do after that. These ideas of an imposter are strictly second grade thinking,it's laughable. He endured things no man could endure, and had strength no man could have. Also, does anybody think after seventeen years JLC would have come back to star in a movie about a Michael Myers imposter? Please. She and the filmmakers had every intention of ending the series with H20.This is money talking,H20 was more successful than 5 and 6 combined. What I am getting at is that H20 ended it in a manner that is relatively believable,Michael popping his head back on is not.It was also a return to what made the first one work so well,no Cults or men in loud black boots, just simple and scary. In my opinion, the integrity of the series should come first, not Moustapha Akkad's wallet.
