According to a review by Michael Riesenbeck on November 24, 1999 at http://www.dvdangle.com/reviews/halloween_restored.html the "Halloween: Limited Edition" is out of print, but a single disc edition - "Halloween: Restored" - exists which, I gather, has all the perks of the Limited Edition sans the TV version. Whether this one is still available, I don't know. I have both down on my Xmas list, so we'll see which one I get, and I'll tell you how I faired.

You definitely might want to consider snagging it while you can, Snert. I think they're pretty hard to come by these days.

The Limited Edition contains the theatrical version and a TV version with additional scenes. The Restored version contains only the theatrical release, with the rest of the other extras found on the Limited, including the documentary "Halloween Unmasked." I just recently got the Restored version: it's excellent, and the Unmasked documentary is much more interesting and informative than "featurettes" found on most DVDs. The guy who played Tommy Doyle even makes an appearance to apologize for taking so long to open the door when the Shape was coming after Jamie Lee Curtis (lol).

I would still like to get the LE, but I am more than happy with the Restored version.
