Dude #1: (blah, blah blah...) "Get away from her you B&*^%!" (quoting aliens)

Randy: (blah blah balh...) I believe the line was "STAY away from her you B#$%^" This is film class rite?"

But dude #1 was rite. The line was "GET away from her you B$%^&" Randy is wrong, he was over confident and didn't know movies like he thought he did. This lead to he cliche death. If I'm wrong, some one tell me!

Nope, you're right. I watched Aliens a little while ago and when it got to that line, I went, "Randy was wrong! Josh Jackson got the line right! Randy was wrong!" Ack, there went my faith in good ol' Randy. R.I.P.

Good catch, Candyman. I wonder if Williamson wrote it like that intentionally, as a chink in Randy's armor, foreshadowing his death.

The other thing is that Randy was trying to be the tough guy when he wasn't; he wasn't as big as he thought he was. This is why I think the series will be one of the greatest pieces of movies ever because it makes people who watch it become smarter by not just giving the ideas away and forcing you to think.

i loved Randys character, and it sucks that he is gone..BUT just like Craven said,he wanted to create the mindset that even the more popular characters can die..

i have wondered what Williamson would have done with part 3??i mean,he is the genius behind parts 1 and 2,so maybe he could have made part 3 better??

Billy was the best killer. If I picked who took out Randy, it would have been Billy. But Billy's mom? Give me a break!

Candyman brings up an excellent point but I'm left wondering if Williamson wrote it that way on purpose or if it was a mistake. Does anyone know for sure? Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Hard to say whether or not it was intentional. It would have been so easy for the writer to make that sort of mistake, so it doesn't necessarily "mean" anything.

That could very well be the point.

Well, I know that, if I was writing a movie and wasnt sure about a line from another movie...I would at least rent it to check it out. But thats just me.

Or a chink in Williamson's knowledge, why doesn't anyone think of that possibility?
