The Evil Dead series is without a doubt one of the best horror/dark comedy series out there. Bruce Campbell with his shotgun and chainsaw = unstoppable powerhouse. Nuff said!!!

Hell ya! The EVIL DEAD movies are freakin awsome! It's kinda weird that EVIL DEAD 1 is strait horror, then EVIL DEAD 2 is pretty much a comedy. EVIL DEAD 2 and ARMY OF DARKNESS are my two favorites. I like EVIL DEAD 1, but not as much as the other two. Ya gotta love how they over do the blood. Oh yeah!
Also, I got EVIL DEAD: HAIL TO THE KING video game, I love it. I beat it a few days ago. I only have two complaints about it.
1. The ghost demons- when they pop up, sometimes there are two or three of them and it's kinda annoying. Sometimes it's best to run past them, but sometimes you can't and while you're fighting one, the other one keeps hitting you. You can hit the button that lets you say one liners and sometimes the demons run away, but it doesn't work all the time.
2. The second disc is to easy. It took me a while with the first one, but the second disk I just breezed right through.
It is a cool game though and left me wanting to watch the movies again. I hope they make an EVIL DEAD 4

"Evil Dead" sucks.

I kid, I kid.

My favorite still the first one, because it's pure horror, and because it uses all the horror cliches to its own advantage, just to mess with your expectations. The hands-thru-the-cellar-door scene is timed so perfectly it still makes me jump.

i watched the 1st evil dead last week with my girlfriend. now that was the first time she had seen it and i hadnt seen it in awhile. i lost count how many times we jumped. that movie is just straight scary. one thing that i remberd that freaked me out as a kid when i wathced it again was the mans voice on the tape recorder. you guys may think i am stupid but by the way he sounds just freaks me out. and also by what he is saying.

I'll never forget the first time I saw the first Evil Dead. It was about two years ago, and it scared the shite out of me. I watched Evil Dead 2 afterwards, and it helped to calm me down. I've seen the movie a good ten, maybe fifteen times since then, and it still never fails to freak me out. All of the scare scenes still work, (especially at the end when, just when we think Cheryl's hands aren't going to break the door and grab Ash, they suddeny do) and the gore is fantastic!
Oh, yeah, I got the video game Evil Dead: Hail To The King for Christmas, and it kicks ass! My only complaint is that it got a little too easy towards the end, and I was able to beat it after just a few days. Oh, yeah, and even after you kill them, the demons, and especially the skeletons, just keep coming back, just seconds after you killed them. But other than that, it's a great game. Some of Ash's new one-liners are hilarious!

Oh, yeah, nightmarewilly. I agree with you about Professor Knowby's voice. Very creepy!

Even after all these years THE EVIL DEAD is still one cutting edge horror film. It ranks in my top ten favorites so I definitley agree with you. Bruce Campbell kicks ass and so does THE EVIL DEAD 2. Army of Darkness on the other hand is a whole different story... Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.
