Evil Dead info I didn't know....

Thought you guys might like to know this. I was browsing on Bruce Campbell's official site and found this out:

The girl that gets raped by the trees in the original Evil Dead is Ash's sister.

This is not a rumor, it's a fact confirmed by Mr. Campbell himself. That puts a new spin on everything for me...who knew????

Yup.
If you watch the film quite closely, you can actually tell that they are brother and sister. It's implied heavily in the film, but never stated outright.

I just watched this last weekend and I am sure that at one point it is mentioned that she is his sister. I cant remember when, but when i saw this topic, I just knew I had heard this somewhere in the movie.

Actually, I think it was when the girl was trapped in the cellar and is pretending to be normal, she says something to the effect of "Ash let me out, I'm your sister" or something like that. i cant be positive tho

Yeah, I figured that out myabe the second time I watched the film due to 2 reasons:

1.) She was more of a bitch than anybody else, and seemed like she didn't want to be there.
2.) She was the only one without a boyfriend (or girlfriend) and seemed like she was "tagging on".

I knew this all along, even in the movie when she starts freaking out because the tape recorder is being played. Ash gets all pissed at the other guy and he says she is your sister deal with it or something like that.:p

Before I saw THE EVIL DEAD, I read plenty of reviews where it was stated that she was his sister.

Can't believe that not many people knew this.
