I personally thought it sucked. It started out pretty good, but then it just fizzled out. I thought that the Dracula character was pretty good as well as Jennifer Esposito. I also really liked it when he was getting it on with Lucy, esp. when he just bites the hell outta her, but other than that, it was totally weak. What was up with some of those lines??? "It is better than chocolate..." Uhhh...ok....This film could have been so much better. When I went and saw it the whole theater was laughing throughout the showing, screaming, 'this sucks!!!' Under normal circumstances I would have screamed at people to shut up, but this time I happened to totally agree and just sat back and waited for this shitty flick to be over.

I didn't get to see it(damn family, can't get out of the house,.... least my relatives will be gone soon.....).and judging by the piss poor box office score, I'm not the only one who didn't see it!

I think it sucked the big one, it was good at first, but then it got really dumb and boring.

I just read that Dracula 2000 was not marketed to kids under 18 because of pressure by Arizona Senator John "The H-Bomb in My Head" McCain to "do something to the industry if it doesn't stop marketing movies to those damn kids."(that's not a real quote but you get the point.) Also, the article I read (It's not on the internet) said that the studio wouldn't allow its stars Omar Epps and Jeri Ryan to be on MTV's "Total Request Live" because it has an under-18 audience of more than 35%. What about Christopher Plummer? Is he too hip to be invited? Whatever. They are also not advertising R-rated movies "with violence" (not sex or language) on TV shows that have an audience of younger people than me(I'm 20) and they are going to do the same thing apparently with "Hannibal" coming out in February 2001. One of the movies spotted by this Senate committee headed by McCain as violent and advertised towards kids is "Scream 2" which they said "depicts violence towards women." Too bad they haven't seen the film or they'd know that the main killer in that film IS A WOMAN!!! I'm sorry but McCain is not a smart man. Just thought you might want to know all of this information and why "Dracula 2000" didn't do so well in the Box Office.

Dracula 2000 will get its revenge when its released on video. At least it was released (hint hint Cherry Falls) As for this politic bullcrap...I SPIT ON IT! pouee!!! Politicians should stop trying to take the quick way out and tackle the real issues instead. Preventing the marketing of horror flicks wont do shite, people will see it on tape anyways. How about concentrating on poverty, gun control, better educational programs and a law enforcement agency that wont beat you cause your black. They're barking off the wrong tree again and they know it. This is their attempt to show the people that they're doing something. (in reality nothing)

So McCain's plan is that if R-rated movies aren't marketed to those under 17, they won't want to see them? Ha! I'm under 17, and I am going to see Hannibal this February. McCain's just mad cos he didn't get far in the Presidential race.

Er... Back to your regularly scheduled topic.

I can't say I wasn't entertained by "Dracula 2000." It was definitely eye-candy; the visuals were flashy, the cast good-looking, the clothes cool, the soundtrack pretty kickin'. It even threw in a neat twist about Drac's origins (even though it never really explains WHY he's a vampire). But it's still only a music video with a plot. I had a good time, but I probably won't be picking it up when it hits video.

Oh, and unicorn, if you haven't seen it yet, don't blink too often when you do or else you might miss Jeri Ryan altogether. She's in the flick for, like, a total of ten minutes, spread out over forty-five minutes.

I missed DRACULA 2000 when it was in the theaters but will see it for sure on video, I really want to see it. And I don't mind if it's only a flashy music video with a plot, I happen to like those. I loved STIGMATA...
Anyway, I can't wait to see it, I'll probably
like it...

I thought it was a nicely paced film that wasn't bogged down by too many details. A few minor scares but the 3 vampire chicks were so tasty! I'd have them ravage me anytime, heh.

I have to say I found this movie pretty ho-hum (as I do with most vampire flicks) but I think the biggest disappointment was probably Wes Craven whoring his name out again. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.
