Can you pick only one horror character, sci fi moster, or heroin...and say they are your all time favorite? I know, I know, it's a difficult choice...but who would you pick... Remember..the challange is to pick only one out of all these categories.
I will go first.
Out of all the horror movies I have seen...the badest motherf***r I have ever seen kick ass is MICHAEL MYERS.

Have to say that the best character in any horror film is ASH!!!!
Ash could kick demon ass and not even break a sweat. Dude was the shite.

Dam, just one. I'd have to go old school and say Norman Bates, great psycho.

I don't know... Loomis has done some damage! He took Michael out with a floor board in Halloween 5, symbolizing that he is better than Michael SINCE he beat Michael up. He's also very crafty, cunning, and ruthless. He even used a LITTLE GIRL as BAIT in H5. And that's only one movie in the series... I think he's at least equal to Michael. God knows he's taken alot of punishment in those films...

Can someone say Jason?
The Arrow

It's Sci-Fi but Arnold in the first "Terminator". That film marked me big time. What a badass!
Then there's Jason, Michael, the Aliens, the Predator, Freddy...ok ok just one...
THE TERMINATOR BABY!

I think one of the most well rounded characters of all time has to be Sidney Prescott...Her mother was raped and murdered, then some her best friends get killed..and who's doing the killing? her boyfriend and his friend of course! Only after she loses her virginity does she find this out and why? Because of her whorebag mother who flashed her shit like she was Sharon Stone, but face it..she was no Sharon Stone...but anywho..Does she break downa nd take this lying down! HELL NO! She kills Stu by dropping a TV on his ass..then takes out her BF with a shot to the head(only after stabbing and shooting him in the shoulder)...now if that doesn't talk about the human spirit, then i don't know what does...oh and don't get me started on the sequels! If yer so interested..then go watch the movies..I'm done! Tired! Finito!

The Alien
"You still don't know what you're dealing with, do you? A perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility. … I admire its purity … a survivor … unclouded by a conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality. … I can't lie to you about your chances, but … you have my sympathies."

For me, it would be Freddy! He scared the shit out of me, only from his pictures in the TV Programm. The Next one would be Jason in Friday pt.2!
I agree about Sidney Prescott Bearazz,
she's my fave heroine (did i spell that right)... She rocks...

I personally like someone who isn't going to back down from a fight no matter how uneven the odds. I want someone who will just drop one-liners every few minutes, blow some demons away and then have time to get me a discount at S-Mart. Of course, my all-time horror hero is
ASH!!!!!

ARROW - EXCELLENT choice! THE TERMINATOR (ARNIE) is one bad scary ass MUTHA FUCKA. When i first saw this movie he scared me equally, if not more than MICHAEL MYERS, who is also the scariest movie icon.
P.S. - The blown up lorry scene where the teminator skeleton emerges from the fiery wreck! 'Mummy!!!'

SHAFT...one bad mutha.
Sorry guys, but I think I'll have to go with
Pinhead. You don't fuck with that guy! Rips
his victims into about 300 fragmented pieces
and tortures them for eternity. One bad ass
you can't mess with! Jason would be minced up
and Michael Meyers would end up on a stick. I
don't mean to bash em, it's just some of the
sickest ways of torturing a person I've seen.

I'm not going to play favorites but wouldn't ALL these guys go insane if they had to do this stuff forever?

Only one eh....... that's a tough one. When it comes to good guys, Ash takes home the decapitated head. He has the best one liners and always gets tortured. Its GREAT !!! The bad guy award would have to go to either Leatherface (psychotic skin wearing, high pitched yelling, guts eating, chainsaw wielding maniac) or Pumpkinhead (Huge ass demon who tortures and plays with you before killing you).

For the 15th year in a row I choose FREDDY KRUEGER! He was my first horror experience and very likely the reason why I watch so much horror today! Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Best character or favorite?
My favorite is Jason Vorhees. He's like a walking force of nature (well, after part 2 anyway).
Best all around character has to be Hanibal Lecter. Creepy, smart and well developed

This is an easy question for me, MICHAEL MYERS!!! The most evil son of a bitch to ever grace a screen. :D

Dr. Loomis is the best hero ever. Whenever he's on screen I feel very safe for the other people onscreen. I miss Loomis. Halloween really does suck without him.

My all time favourite has to be Ash from the Evil Dead Trilogy....Man, he's so cool and has an inexaustable supply of one-liners.

Jason Voorhees. He's the best and my favorite!
