Yeah ive seen it.
Pretty weird/gross movie.
In one scene a women gives birth to a full grown man,so you get my drift.
Its got that classic 80s feel to it,cheap yet atmospheric.
Thats something horror movies of the 90s dont have in my opinion.
They are too glossy, too hollywoodish,They lack the gritty feel and look of many 80s movies.
Anyway....overall its an ok movie, with a few good scenes.
It goes upto xtro 4 but i havent seen them.

What ASSaSSiN said. I saw this movie about fifteen years ago, so I barely remember it. But I do remember it being really, really weird, unlike anything I'd seen at the time. I've been looking for it just to see it again, but so far, no luck.
The sequels have nothing to do with the original. "Xtro 2" is a one of the best ultra-cheapo "Aliens" rip-offs I've ever seen, and "Xtro 3" is nigh unwatchable (couldn't get through the first 30 minutes). I haven't heard about the third sequel.
Yeah, I saw that film too. People's Choice
Video had that LONG ago, and I rented it and
it was nothing MAJOR, but still cool. As a
matter of fact, they still have that copy of
the first Xtro in the Sci-fi section. It got
pretty cool when that alien thing grabbed a
hold of that dog and sucked its organs and a
little later, attacked a woman to get born
into a man again. Even the dog was muching on
the alien's left over entrails. Really wierd
ass shit even now when you think of it. Not
bad for British Sci-fi horror.

I've seen it and it's sequel. I thought both were rather entertaining but I think the second was a bit better. The first had a MIDGET CLOWN and it was british. Everyone loves the british right and the sequel was just an aliens ripoff which I liked more then Aliens. Yeah I'm crazy.
Xtro - 7/10
Xtro 2 - 7.5/10
I have part 3 and I'll watch it sometime soon.

I've been meaning to track down the original Xtro. I've only seen the so-so sequels. The second film is unbelievably derivative, but it's decent fun nonetheless. I actually dug the third film. It had a surreal, twisted vibe, and as an added bonus, it featured a very badass Andrew Divoff! The alien reminded me of an evil E.T.
