View Full Version : Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday The 13th
This comes to video tomorrow and I think it was on TV first, but I missed it then. Anyway, I know to basically expect a bad rip off of Scary Movie but I want to see it anyway. I did see the previews and they looked kinda funny. But I did read Arrows review and he said it was really bad, but I still want to check it out. I know I'm probably making a huge mistake but I'm curious. I figured I'd post this so people that rent it or have already seen it can say what they thought of it. I'm going to see it sometime this week and then I'll come and say what I thought of it too. I don't think it will be super great but I want to find out for myself... What has everyone thought of it? Is anyone going to rent it?

This movie was terrible. In my view their was no humor or horror in it what so ever. also this movie is mostly about alcohol, guns in school, dead teens, unlikely names, and drugs. I guess they thought those things might make the movie hilarious, but it didn't. Also this movie was just like "scary movie" and it was a complete waste of time to watch. also Tom Arnold played Doughy in the movie and he was just plain bad.
I don't think it will be up to SCARY MOVIE standards and I read 2 good reviews and 2 bad reviews at www.amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com) ... I just recieved my Entertainment Weekly and here's the review they have for it:
" A satire on teen slasher flicks which satirize teen slasher flicks---- this goofy minor entry is funny in that I-can't-believe-I'm-laughing-at-these-stupid-jokes way. Minus Scary Movie's slapdash nastiness, Shriek has an affable tone, wall-to-wall dumb gags, and the comic good sportsmanship of Tiffani Thiessen (as newswoman Hagitha Utslay) and Tom Arnold (as a security guard named Doughy Prime Suspect).

Maybe it won't be that bad, I might be making a mistake but I'm going to rent it anyway and hope for the best. Entertainment Weekly didn't think it was that bad. Who Knows, I'm not saying you guys are wrong but I'm going to find out for myself...

Speaking about movies that y'all are looking foward to come out (i'm in the UK), i have recently enjoyed the releases to buy, of THE HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL, last week, and the one i've been waiting for for ages, SCREAM 3.
Seeing as thought i'm yet to own a dvd player, i was satisfied to see that the vhs edition of SCREAM 3 has 20 minutes of extra footage - including deleted scenes. Deleted scenes to me are like blowjobs. The actual movie is the sex, but blowjobs are always good, even when bad - if ya know what i'm saying.

If you are looking for something to rent try LOST SOULS (2000), I went to that in the theater and thought it was pretty good, There are a lot better Devil movies out there but it wasn't to bad and if you are sick of slashers. EW and other critics ripped it a new asshole as well but you should check it out. Arrow gave it three arrows.....

I planned on renting Lost Souls this week. I have four movies I plan on renting this week. Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday The 13th, Bedazzled, Nurse Betty, and Lost Souls... Bedazzled, Nurse Betty, and Shriek If you know... look funny ... And Lost Souls looks cool too, I've wanted to see this before but didn't get the chance when it was in theaters, now I have the chance. I like movies like it, I even liked STIGMATA. Patricia Arquette is pretty hot and I liked the way the movie was filmed, not scary but a fun movie. I'm sure I'll like LOST SOULS...
Anyway, still want to see Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday The 13th, I know I'll see it this week for sure...

I saw this edited on USA, but the original couldn't have been much worse. I really thoought this movie sucked. I watched it expecting something funny, but it just sucks if you ask me. /ubb/frown.gif
Did anyone rent this movie today? , it just came out on video. I'm thinking about going to rent it tomorrow...
I'm going to the video store later today and I'm going to rent this, Lost Souls, Nurse Betty, and Bedazzled. Are any of them bad???

well i liked BEDAZZLED. It was cheesy but it was fresh. I think you'll like it i laughed. Especially when he becomes all sensative.

Bedazzled looked pretty damn funny, I can't wait to see it, I'm sure I'll like it. Critics didn't like it that much but a lot of people I know saw it and they said it was really funny, it should be...
As for Nurse Betty, critics liked it and it's been mixed reviews from people I know that have seen it, so, I'm going to hope for the best, I think it will be good, I like unusual comedies, plus I like Renee Zellweger...
I think I'll like LOST SOULS, I've heard it was really good, critics didn't like it though. Plus MorganOnyx said it was good and I agree with him on a lot of movies so I'll probably like it...
And I'm not sure if I'll like Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday The 13th, I liked SCARY MOVIE, actually, make that LOVED Scary Movie, and I'm not expecting much so I think it might be good... Who knows...

Bedazzled was pretty good. It's kinda corny, but it's pretty good.
I just watched SHRIEK IF YOU KNOW WHAT I DID LAST FRIDAY THE 13TH... I didn't think it was that great at all, but I had to find out for myself... Some of the jokes could have been funny, IN ANOTHER MOVIE... But a few were funny, the rest felt forced... It was no SCARY MOVIE, I actually laughed a lot on that movie...

I hate Chris Rock and I think Morgan Freeman is one dimentional. Rent a film called "Bare Deception". You will not be disappointed. It's about a killer of a call in dating show participant so maybe the Arrow can review it.

I knew it would be bad, but if I want to see a movie I see it, even if I heard EVERYONE say it sucked. I don't care, I see a movie and decide for myself. So you can say I told you so all you want but I knew it would be bad. But I didn't have anything else to rent because I've already seen everything that I want to see and I was bored, and I wanted to see it and I wasn't expecting much and I didn't get much... And for the record, Nurse Betty was awesome, I thought it was really good... I mainly saw it for Renee Zellweger...

I watched ME, MYSELF AND IRENE today. Man, JIM CARREY WAS a lucky muthafucka!
I know... Renee Zellweger is such a hottie, some people think she's fat, but not me, just because she doesn't look anorexic doesn't mean she's fat... Anyway, what did you think of it Morgan ?, I thought it was pretty good and Renee only made it better... I'm looking forward to the Farrely brothers next movie SAY IT ISN'T SO with Heather Graham, Chris Klien, and Sally Field, it opens this month...

Yeah, i thought it was really funny - i wasn't disappointed. CAREY and ZELLWEGER were excellent and his 3 sons were quality (i've always been a fan of ANTHONY ANDERSON, who played JAMAAL). I found it funny how they were always swearing, so stereotyping black people!
Anyway, cos i live in the UK it has only just come out on video today, and at the start was a trailer of that movie you just mentioned SAY IT ISN'T SO - i thought "I have to see that film!" It looks dope!

SAY IT ISN'T SO looks awesome. When does Nurse Betty come to video or theaters over there. When it does come out you should see it, it's a really good movie... Renee Zellweger is great in it, it was a very unique movie and a great dark comedy. It's definately not for everyone but I think you'd enjoy it... I did and I'm thinking about watching it again soon...

I rented it on Saturday and I didn't laugh once. It copied "Scary Movie" way to much and it made it even more stupid. If you haven't seen it yet, save your money! /ubb/frown.gif

No madja, you don't want to see it. I really wanted to see it to and it was horrible, and I'm not hard to please. I don't know where you can get it, I got it at my video store. But trust me, if you do run across it, DON'T SEE IT...

the funniest part was the grease scene, and that sucked or the scene where he is driving the knife through the wall
I didn't think the GREASE scene was very funny at all... Not much was funny... A couple things were kind of funny, but not very, nothing worth mentioning...

i tried watching this and managed to get maybe 30 minutes through before having to give up, i didn't laugh once at any of the pathetic jokes, it just isn't remotely funny. the acting is also terrible and increadibly annoying
