Am I the only one who can't wait to see Big Fat Liar? If you don't know what it is, it's a movie starring Frankie Muniz (Malcolm in the Middle), Amanda Bynes (All That, The Amanda Show), and Paul Giamatti as a slimy Hollywood executive who steals Muniz' story that he wrote for school, and turns it into a Hollywood movie. Muniz and Bynes then go to Hollywood to get their revenge.

The trailer looks funny, as a Screenwriter the plot looks great (I had an idea for a kid's film similar to that a year ago before I heard about the project), and the two stars child stars are two of my favorites.

Looking at the February 2002 releases, this looks like the only kid's film coming out, during a month full of decent/good looking teen/adult oriented movies like Slackers, The New Guy, Collateral Damage, Below, John Q, Queen of the Damned, the horrible looking Crossroads (On a side note, there's a funny story that a radio station told where Paramount held test screenings for the movie, and even Britney fans hated the movie).

So, does anyone think they'll be seeing Big Fat Liar?

Big fat Nope!

I like Frankie on Malcom in the middle but, you said it in a word in your post. It is a "Kids" movie and those rarely appeal to me.

I love all kinds of flicks from artsy to dumb ass stupid but I rarely have the patience to sit thru a predictable kid flick.

So I will save my dough for FOTR, or another more adult offering.

I am not saying it will suck, but it is just not for me, and I have yet to see any info about this movie anyplace other than at the theater in a form of a preview poster.

Out.....

I am really looking forward to not seeing this movie. hehe I like Frankie Muniz and all, but I thought that the only part of the trailer that was even remotly funny, was the line "I thought I came to pick up a little blue car. They didnt tell me about the little blue man." ....or something along those lines.

I think this movie has potential. They could do a very nice job with it. It seems funny, and original. The actors in it are good too. Amanda Bynes is hot!

Can't Wait!

I think it'll be okay, but I'm not that interested in seeing the movie.

I they could've come up with a better title, and the fact that it's a kid's movie is a turn off.

If it were more serious and dramatic, I think it'd be awesome. But it's not, so I'll wait for video.

(I'm looking forward to Minority Report)

This flick has potential. Better not waste it...

Justin, on your remark about the title, BIG FAT LIAR went through two other titles during production and post-production: the even worse LOST AND FOUND and the better title, the more show-bizzy PAY OR PLAY.

I actually think it looks kinda good. I probably won't see it in theaters, but I'm willing to give it a shot on DVD.
