I was thinking back the other day, and I remember seeing a movie on cable that scared the crap out of me when I was younger.
It was about a young guy who had a lot of robots. He starts dating a really hot chick and her father nearly kills her. She falls down some stairs or something......
She is in a coma, so the robot guy and a friend put a chip in her head (i think). She then goes home and kills her father..
Anyone remember the name of this film?????

It was a piece of crap and entirely not scary. The ending was ridiculous.

I was only a couple of years old when I saw this film. I still have an image in my head of the father....
Does the robot come out of the girl's body in the end???? I can't remember that either.

As I remember it wasn't so bad!! Not a classic cut but still good movie.

Warner Brothers really fucked Wes Craven over this one. I also read the book "Friend" and its a beautiful story. Studio interference ruined this flick (the basketball murder and the shitty ending was their damn idea). Too bad cause I see the good movie trying to come out.

I've always been a fan of this movie... I noticed that a lot of people around this board don't like it or Shocker. I really love them both. Am I a fool? PROBABLY SO!!! Maybe it's cause I'm such a Wes Craven fan... who knows? So, shoot me if you must, but I seriously enjoy this movie.

I consider myself a pretty big CRAVEN fan (especially his earlier work) but I haven't seen this one. I find it hard to believe that CRAVEN made a bad movie but I'm guessing that Arrow is right and the studio had a hand in making it as bad as it was. I would like to see it but I'll have to wait for the dvd to come out first. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

This movie was a semi entertaining film. It has the goonies/Throw Momma From The Train lady. She was such a badass woman. Such a shame she's gone.

Yeah it was a ridiculous movie. Only worth watching for a young KRISTY SWANSON who is gorgeous now!!!!! Oh, and the basketball kill cos it's funny.

P.S - SHOCKER SUCKS ASS. WES CRAVEN has actually made some shite films.
