Who are your top ten favorite younger actors and actresses from the post-SCREAM generation? Qualifications: under 30 years of age, acting talent and an appearance in at least one modern-day horror film. All of my choices are listed in alphabetical order.

BEST YOUNGER ACTORS
1. Christian Bale (AMERICAN PSYCHO)
2. Zachary David Cope (STIR OF ECHOES)
3. Josh Hartnett (H20 and THE FACULTY)
4. Shawn Hatosy (THE FACULTY)
5. Jonathan Jackson (SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET and the upcoming INSOMNIA)
6. Joshua Jackson (THE SKULLS and URBAN LEGEND)
7. Brad Renfro (APT PUPIL)
8. Devon Sawa (FINAL DESTINATION)
9. Nick Stahl (DISTURBING BEHAVIOR)
10. Elijah Wood (THE FACULTY)

BEST YOUNGER ACTRESSES
1. Kirsten Dunst (INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE)
2. Rebecca Gayheart (URBAN LEGEND and SCREAM 2)
3. Sarah Michelle Gellar (SCREAM 2 and I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER)
4. Danielle Harris (URBAN LEGEND)
5. Katherine Heigl (VALENTINE and the ROSWELL TV series)
6. Katie Holmes (DISTURBING BEHAVIOR)
7. Jennifer Morrison (URBAN LEGENDS-FINAL CUT and STIR OF ECHOES)
8. Christina Ricci (SLEEPY HOLLOW)
9. Michelle Williams (H20)
10. Reese Witherspoon (AMERICAN PSYCHO, FREEWAY and FEAR)

Note that I didn't include such over-exposed actors as Haley Joel Osment or that PARTY OF CRY duo Neve Campbell and Jennifer Love-Hewitt. Ryan Phillippe is a decent actor, but he overacted wildly in I KNOW WHAT YOU DID...while his on-screen compadre Freddie Prinze, Jr. (who showed much promise in THE HOUSE OF YES) underacted with little-to-no emotion.

Good Call on Renfro and Harris. I thought Emily Bergl did a good job for being in a movie that could be career suicide, more or less a remake of a classic.

Rose McGowan in Scream...??? She was kinda annoying, but undoubtably sexy and soooooo hot!

Good call on the legendary Danielle Harris. She definitly needs more recognition that a silly cameo sized role in Urban-fucking-Legend. She could have easily played one of the tough girl parts in a Scream... Angelina Tyler in #3, or Tatum in #1...???

I really liked Parker Posey in Scream 3, I never saw her before that and she made me laugh a lot, I also think Haley Joel Osment did an excellent job in The Sixth Sense, very few times have I seen kids actually acting good but this kid was a blast, I rate him as the best "little kid actor" out there, he surprised me as much as Miko Hughes did on Mercury Rising (even though it's not horror) where he stole the show as an autistic kid. Also, Clea Duvall was great in The Faculty as the "lonely but much smarter than she looks like" girl.

Yeah, Clea Duvall is cool. I can't wait to see her kick ass in Carpenter's GHOSTS OF MARS...Josh Hartnett was good in H20, whether you liked his hair or not.

I disagree Strongly with your choice for number two, Rebecca Gayheart may be hot but i dont think se can act at all, look at her in the end of urban legend, her acting was beyond crap.

SCREAM FAN, my choices were listed in alphabetical order, and although Rebecca Gayheart may have been a tad over-the-top in the UL finale, at least she wasn't as boring as Alicia Witless!!!

Good calls on Parker Posey & Clea DuVall. Danielle Harris is an awesome choice as well (I feel she should've been given the role that was rightfully hers in HALLOWEEN 6). I also liked Elise Neal in SCREAM 2, even though she may not be "young". As for the guys, I think Josh Hartnett has the most potential out of the bunch.
