-Bill Paxton(aliens) : best lines in movie
-the zombie friend in Amer werewolf in london(what's his name?):when he picks up mickey mouse and waves is hilarious
-Matthew Lillard(scream):everyhthing since then has been downhill
-Zelda(Poltergeist) :"this house is clean..."
-2 "vampire hunters"(Lost boys):weren't they both named corey in real life?
well i'm gonna stop now - the embarrassment of not remembering anybody's name is killing me...

I THINK BILL PAXTON WAS SUPERBLY HILARIOUS IN THE SLASHER MOUTUARY, WHEN HE PLAYED THE KILLER. IN AN EARLY SCENE HE IS SEEN GALLOPING/SKIPPING THROUGH A GRAVEYARD.

I actually found Bill Paxton very annoying in ALIENS. He didn't grow on me as an actor until his excellent roles in ONE FALSE MOVE and Sam Raimi's A SIMPLE PLAN.

JGJavi, great topic! Of the two Frog Brothers in THE LOST BOYS, only one was played by a Corey...Feldman. The other Corey (Haim) played Sam, the younger bro of main character Jason Patric. The "zombie friend" in AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON was portrayed by Griffin Dunne.

I find most "comic relief" roles in horror films very annoying and distracting. Case in point: Ned (Mark Nelson) in FRIDAY THE 13TH; Ted (Stu Charno) in FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2; Shelley (Larry Zerner) in FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 3; Stu (Matthew Lillard) in SCREAM. The list is endless.

The only comic performance that I admired was Parker Posey in SCREAM 3.

He was a riot.

Also, the fat dude that got axed in the beginning of Friday the 13th Part 5 - The Crap Sequel. I thought he was "whiny-bitch" done to a T.

The girl from Halloween who said "Totally" all the time. She was great, too. And not really a main character.

Why are most of the main characters in slasher movies straight-faced and consciencious? Neve Campbell from Scream was a priss, Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween was a dork ... the list continues. Is it a conspiracy? Is it a moral message to the masses? Is it a cliched staple of horror?

not true Bruce Campbell was great in the evil dead series, the lead in Dead-Alive was funny, ripley was pretty funny in Alien Resurrection
-another great side character that was pretty funny was the neighbor in House

JGJAVI, you're talking about two different characters : The Hitchhiker (Ed Neill) in CHAINSAW, and his surviving twin brother Chop-Top (Bill Mosely) in CHAINSAW 2. It would be a hard call on which was the most hilarious performance, but Chop-Top has the Sonny Bono wig, and you can't beat that. He also gets to say "Get that hog-bitch, Leatherface!" Okay then, he won...Bill Paxton was hilarious in ALIENS ("WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE GONNA DO NOW, MAN?!") and in NEAR DARK ("This one ain't been shaved!") I also loved Dennis Dunn in John Carpenter's PRINCE OF DARKNESS, whose freak out in the closet scene is absolutely hilarious.

I also thought that Randy (Jamie Kennedy) in SCREAM and SCREAM 2 was funny, although David Arquette's ditsy Dewey character ran out of steam by Part 3.

There is no goddamn question about it: Robert Englund playing the almighty Freddy in FREDDY'S DEAD: THE FINAL NIGHTMARE. I laughed my fuking arse off! Or how about the guy who plays Skinner from the X-Files in that movie SHOCKER? "Finger-lickin' good!" heeheehee. And, of course, Bruce Campbell in ED2 and AoD. "Who's laughin' now?"
