If there are, I need help. I've watched City of the Living Dead many, many times, and I still can't figure out the ending. Just what in the hell is everybody screaming about???

I've posted this twice before already, and no answers...so please, help me out!

Dude, let's face it; I seriously doubt Mr. Fulci himself knew. I like suggestive, open endings, but the end of CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD suggests nothing more to me than that the director ate an entire sheet of acid before he decided to end his film with that gobbledegook. And I LIKE the movie...

Yeah, that's kinda what I figured...I read somewhere once that Fulci explained it at a Fangoria 'con thing, but I never saw what the explanation was...
