View Full Version : Most Scariest and Effective Movie Killer

With this I mean the killer who is more effective at dispatching victims. And out of all the ones, my vote goes to...

JASON. Sure, the Friday the 13th movies are all crap, but this guy is a walking zombie who endures massive amounts of pain and kills anything without remorse.

Runners-up are the Alien and the Predator, but they're not human.

Why Jason? Take a look at all the others.

Michael Myers is a slow-walking mongoloid who moves slower than an arthritic snail, always giving his victims ample time to run away (why don't they?)

Freddy got turned into a wisecracking fool after the first movie, and then again all his killing schemes were way too elaborate.

Chucky is just a damn doll. Like no one could pick him up and toss him across the room or through a window.

That guy from Scream. His movie trivia schtick just gets old real fast and he gets repeatedly trounced. Amateur.

Don't even get me started on that Pinhead freak. I HATE that guy.

If I'm missing anyone, itīs cause I havenīt seen their damn movies or they're just not worthy. Any thoughts?

First of all, Pinhead is magnificent!

Second, have you ever heard of a little art film called "Silence of the Lambs"? /ubb/wink.gif

Well, read the last line of my post: I haven't seen Silence Of The Lambs OR Hannibal OR even Manhunter, so, sorry, I can't include a guy I don't know about.

You saw all the "Friday the 13th" movies, but can't even be bothered to look at "Silence of the Lambs"? LOL...

I think I should clear this one up... I haven't seen the Friday the 13th movies except the last scenes of the third one (Dubbed in spanish? Hilarious) and the eighth one (It was three in the morning and there was nothing else to watch). These were accidents and no way will I subject myself to the others, ugh.
I once turned on to Silence of the Lambs when it was halfway over and I didn't understand what the hell was going on... so maybe I need to watch it from the beginning, but I can't find it on rental anywhere, so...

By the way, Cyclonus, don't be a dick and stick to the subject matter.

Hey! No need to call me a dick! I didn't know you lived in Chile! Sorry! /ubb/redface.gif

OK, so I got a little carried away, letīs call a truce then...

We all go a little mad sometimes, you know.

And that reminds me, Norman Bates from the 1960 Psycho was also one cool killer... but that was largely due to Anthony Perkins, he rocks.

Yeah, the remake sucked, didn't it?

neco82
06-11-2001, 12:55 PM
The remake was shit... I've seen worse, but I really didn't see the point, and Vivien Leigh was hot as hell and Anne Heche didn't measure up.

You know what scene really scared the crap out of me in the 60s Psycho? When Marion Crane is sleeping in the car and she wakes up and you see a five second closeup of a patrolman standing next to her car... just seeing that guy's face made my blood run cold.

Nice little conversation going on here (???)

Um... about the topic... Michael COULD kill Jason... The human incarnation of Evil could easily dispatch the ugly, lothargic, FAT, miserable, motivless, stupid hockey mask wearing Jason. Plus... Michael (from part 1 and maybe 2) is far scarier than ANY incarnation of ol' fat boy.

Just thought I'd add my view (if the topic is still running, or has this thread suddenly become a personal conversation??)

Well, I didn't want this to be a conversation, but nobody cares enough to post their ideas. YOU PEOPLE SUCK!

Anyway, remember that Jason has been an undead zombie since part 6 or 7 of that horrible series, so he can't die. Michael Myers got decapitated, so HE can die. I'm not saying he's not an effective killer, I just think Jason could ultimately take him out. And, he's been able to teleport since part 8.

NECO82, consider yourself warned! Calling people "dicks" and telling everyone "you suck" are inappropriate phrases for this type of chat forum. You can't judge others because their taste in film differs from yours. I don't care where you're from, that type of childish name-calling is not allowed here.

Secondly, you rate the character of Jason the most effective killer when you've only seen bits and pieces from Parts 3 and 8?

Lastly, it was Janet Leigh who played Marion Crane in the original PSYCHO, not Vivien Leigh of GONE WITH THE WIND fame!

Check your facts, brother...before you start raving!

Not exactly a person, or real killer, but it killed and possesed people...

... The Evil Dead

Followed closely by everyones favorite cannibal...

... Hannibal (Please note the spelling, there has not been an error on this post yet but you wouln't believe how many times on this board and other sites they spell it Hannible.. Just a little pet peeve of mine) Lecter

[Now I hope I didn't spell anything wrong, cause then I'll feel like an idiot, but anyway, back to the topic)

As for the most kills it goes...

[Legend - *-still active ... +-not active ... %- not known ... 2 or more symbols-you figure it out]

...%Aliens with 191 people plus one animal
...*Jason with 124 people plus one animal
...+Jack Griffin (The Invisible Man) with 122 people
...%The Killer Klowns with 120 people plus one animal
...%The Tall Man with 79 with one animal
...+Carrie White with 76 people
...+Lord Crumb and His Army (Bad Taste) with 75 people
...*Mike Myers with 75 people plus 4 animals
...*The Knoxes (Natural Born Killers) with 75 people
...* %Children of the Corn with 72 people plus 1 animal

There is the top ten killers.

Um, I think neco's "YOU PEOPLE SUCK" comment was made in jest.

In terms of effeciency and scariness, Candyman from the 1ST movie (the others don't really exist, much like Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, Police Academy 3-7) was pretty efficient and scary. Maybe it's becuz I was younger when I saw it, but he just freaked me out. And his hook was just so mean. He just splattered you right quick and was done, AND he framed somebody for the job. That's just plain rude, it's not like people thought he existed anyway, he just did it for evil's sake. Tight.

Since everyone has mentioned Freddy, Jason, and Michael Myers, I would like to add the killer in The Prowler. He was pretty fierce and when he killed people he made it count. His army fatigues made him look like a complete freak. I like that stuff.

The two fat hillbillies that squealed in Just Before Dawn were some ugly dudes. They sounded like pigs as they killed their victims. They were pretty cool.

I also liked the Garth's from Hell Night. They looked like wolfmen and they had a tag team going. Great stuff. They would come out of the strangest places like holes in the floor, ground, and tunnels.

Hey PROWLER, I've heard about your namesake...the early 80's slasher film THE PROWLER (aka ROSEMARY'S KILLER). Is it worth hunting for? I recently saw JUST BEFORE DAWN, and really liked it. Very atmospheric and scary! Another TEXAS CHAINSAW-NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD-BLAIR WITCH-style mood piece that makes you feel as though you're THERE, and makes you contemplate what you would do in that situation. Very underrated gem! I also liked the killers in HELL NIGHT.

Most scariest killer is maybe Henry in Henry : Portrait Of A Serial Killer.
it is scary because the situations seem very real and it could surely happen in the real life.
his killings are gruesome and fairly disturbings, especially the camera scene, this scene is really shocking and the actress was shocked after this scene.
And Candyman, the first chapter forget about the others that suck !!

The Prowler

Hey Antonio, you should definately check out the Prowler. It is hard to find but it worth the watch if you like slasher movies. It was directed by Joseph Zito who did Friday the Thirteenth 4. The Savini Fx are the main reason to watch it though. Every kill is gory and it is done so well. It is actually pretty well done for a slasher movie and it has an excellent musical score. One of my favorite musical scores. Oh yeah and the killer is pretty cool too, hence the post in this topic. I hope you like the flick, it was a very nice surprise to me. I thought I had seen every slasher movie that was any good until I discovered this hidden gem. I think it is in the same category as My Bloody Valentine.

The Tall Man is the most scary and efficient killer of them all; he can go anywhere, do anything, and cannot die. Besides, anyone with that many balls is most certainly a supreme badass.

Norman Bates

neco82, if you said you have only seen Friday the 13th part 3 and 8, how do you know about parts 6 and 7?

Okay... first of all... I deeply apologize to anyone that got offended by my childish comments. I did mean that YOU SUCK thing in jest, thank you very much... so I have a really short fuse, sue me. I'm just letting off steam, not picking fights...

And as to the moderator's questions. How do I know so much about Friday the 13th? Because I've read about the entire series. Haven't watched it, but read about it, is that a crime?

Vivien Leigh, Janet Leigh, who cares? She was in Psycho and she was gorgeous. That's all I'll say. Honest mistake.

The Riddler

Michael Myers. He may walk slow all the time but he always manages to keep up. Now thats scary.
