It looked cool on the cover, but the plot ripoffs Halloween 2,with a killer stalking a woman at a hospital, killing anyone who gets in the way. Its from my pawnshop in okay condition. Okay theres also one called psycho from texas, perfect condition. Both four dollars.
Actually, ill turn this one into kind of a queston and answer topic, concerning questions like "Is this worth a buy?" thing.

Dude, I bought VISITING HOURS on a whim at my local record store in the used video section for 3 bucks, and it is great! Highly reccomended, it avoids all lame cliches, and is a really horrific flick. Buy it, as it is veeerryy hard to find.

this film is quite disturbing and it strars Michael Ironside who's very believable in his role.
the film is not gory at all but there are some disturbing moments.
The killer takes pictures of his victims while they are dying.

Yeah, "Visiting Hours" is quite good, very suspenseful in parts. Lee Grant gets a little hammy in her role a few times, but there are a lot of genuine scares in the movie, and unlike most hospital movies, the place isn't understaffed. In fact, it's crawling with people, and still, the killer manages to have an isolated chase after the heroine by the end. Effective. Don't miss it.

VISITING HOURS is definitely derivative of HALLOWEEN II, but stands alone as one of the more overlooked early 80's slash-fests. Michael Ironside is one mean S.O.B., as is the entire film...Linda Purl's near-death experience was grueling, and I loved the suspenseful dumbwaiter sequence. Definitely on my underrated slasher list now, thanks for reminding me of this one PSYCHOPATH!

BURNOUT, there are several topics on the board concerning UNDERRATED SLASHERS. You'll have to hunt for them, though. I'm not sure if they're listed among the first six or seven pages.
