I thought id start a topic on questions like this: Is this movie worth a buy or rent? And i,or someone else can answer the question for you. I also got one...again!!! Its called "Hospital massacre"and another called "Edge of the axe".
Those any good?

HOSPITAL MASSACRE is great!... that is unless decent quality is important to you. It's just a yawningly routine early-80s slasher with all-around amateur-night filmmaking. Oscar contender Barbi Benton gets naked though, if that interests you.

EDGE OF THE AXE I haven't seen, but the director (Joseph Larraz) has shown some skill with past films, so it might be good.

I enjoyed Edge Of The Axe alot. I thought it was a pretty good slash flick. I've not seen the other one. But I'd say Axe is worth a rental.

Hey, I've seen both and remember not being too thrilled with either of them. It's been a long time, but I remember "Edge of the Axe" was doused in mediocrity, and "Hospital Massacre" was overwhelmingly cheesy, and of course, took place in a hospital with a staff of three. I don't know, if you were to see either of them, go with "Hospital Massacre," and avoid the rather dull "Edge of the Axe."

-Cronos
-Howling 2 ( I loved Howling 3 and I heard that this one has even more cheese )
-Subspecies III ( I've never seen the others but this part is the only one avaiable on my rental and has a great box cover )
-Death by Dialogue ( again great box and promises a lot of TNA )
-Slaughterhouse Rock
-Return of the Family Man
-Carpenter's Body Bags
-Fulci's Red Monks ( I've never heard of this one before I saw it )

HOWLING 2 IS PRETTY SHITE.
IT STARTS WITH A REMAKE SCENE OF THE ENDING FROM THE 1ST FILM......WITH EFFECTS SO BAD IT IS UNBELIEVABLE. ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS REUSE A CLIP FROM THE FILM. CHRISTOPHER LEE SHINES... BUT THAT'S ABOUT IT. FULL OF STUPID UN-EROTIC, FAST FORWARD THROUGH WERE-WOLF ORGIES. IT IS CRAP.
ONE GOOD GORE SCENE THOUGH, WHEN A MIDGET'S EYES EXPLODE.

Well,all i can say is "Howling 2" sucks bigtime! I waisted four bucks on it!

Dehydrator, I would definately recommend all of the "Subspecies" movies. Well, maybe not the last one (Part IV). But, try to find the first 2, before you watch the 3rd one. It'll help. The main vampire, Radu, is one of the coolest vampires I've seen in a long time. Great make-up. Supposedly, they are currently filming a 5th installment of the series. That's what I love to hear.
