TITLE: Kolobos
CONCEPT: Eager youngsters sign up for what they believe to be a new reality-tv show but discover they've been plonked in a booby trapped house designed to kill the occupants 1x1.
CRAP FILM? NO WAY!: Yes way! Incredibly dumb and boring. Main character ain't the kind of girl you'd invite to a party let alone put on a tv show. Not to mention the unscary Jason Vorhees wannabe on the loose. Scorching idea pissed on from a hight.
TITLE: The Hole
CONCEPT: Students locked in an underground bomb-shelter and cant escape
I HEARD IT WAS PRETTY GOOD: Well I didn't like it. Could have been an engrossing ambiguous exploration into why youngsters go missing but it was just a big overhyped build up to nothing.
TITLE: Sphere
CONCEPT: Scientists drafted in to study what appears to be a 300-year old spaceship on the bottom of the Pacific.
WHERE COULD IT GO WRONG?: Thick-as-fuck version of one of the most cerebral, challenging, creepy and intelligent books ever written
TITLE: HOLLOW MAN
CONCEPT: A rabble of scientists trapped in a high security building with the Invisible Man gone mad-crazy-bonkers.
CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT: Don't bother. Mean spirited movie. A depressing experience. SFX aside characters have 0 depth and 0 motivation. Kevin Bacon's descent into pure evil is too quick and unconvincing. And Liz Shue's escape from the cold storage was an physical impossibility!!!!
