I posted this on the general movie board too, but thought I'd more likely get a response here...
I saw this film a few years ago, and it's always been one of my all-time favorites. I constantlymake all my friends watch it, and I'm working on getting my film professor to arrange a big screen screening at the college. It was released under the title "Dellamorte Dellamore," and alternatively "Cemetery Man" in some places. It's hard to find, hard as hell. The tape I have came from a late-night Cinemax showing.
anyway, I just wanted to know what others thoughts on this film were, if you've seen it. I'd really love it if JoBlo and Arrow would check it out and share their thoughts with me.
It stars Rupert Everett and Anna Falchi, and was released I think in 1992, or maybe earlier.

To be honest, I haven't seen it. But it is there on my Video-Rental in uncut version and I loved the movie STAGE FRIGHT by the same director. Maybe I'll give it a try soon, but hell, it's Summer in Germany and that doesn't happen too often... Is it worth the Hype?

Uncut version eh? Well, yeah, it's worth the hype. Now I'm realyl curious about this uncut version though. Hope there isn't something in there i've never seen....

This Gem, starring Rupert Everett, should be seen by anyone who really liked the dark comedy of HEATHERS, or those who enjoyed RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD!
Every time I see it, it keeps getting funnier.....however, it is a horror movie, so be prepared for some brutal scenes of carnage/gore....
Still, if you want something different, check this independent title out.....(8/10)

Cemetery Man is a very cool zombie flick with just the right amount of offbeat comedy. It's almost too confusing though to really get into it, but I still enjoyed it a lot.

I just watched this last night and it was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. While it is a horror/comedy, the comedy does not really extend to the theme of the movie imo. The theme is very nihilistic, not just about life in general, but also specifically about women and the futility of searching for love in life. The shots were all beautifully done and the movie was well directed and acted. I HIGHLY recommend this movie.
5/5

My platform has changed since I wrote that. Cemetery Man is extremely inaccessible, but it's not terribly confusing. Emotion is the film's strongest asset, not logic.

This is a truely class film - it has so many amazing scenes:
The biker zombies.
The dumb assistant's girlfriend's zombie head in the TV.
Rupert Everett's killing spree.
Great stuff!

I don't get around to forgen flicks (well, techincally I do, I'm Canadian and watch alot of American horror :D ), but this one is awsome. Very stylish, gory, comical and erotic. One of my favorits of the genre, I give it a 10!
