Is the horror genre slowly dying? What can revive the dead a/o dying?

Horror movies lately haven't been quite making the cut, and some fans vew the recent
excuses a taste of what is to come for the scene altogether. What do you think? If it is dying, what the hell do we need to revive this wonderfully devine genre?

I think personally they need more gore, sensless violence, and need to incorporate less useless intellegence. (Overall in horror movies it hinders instead of helps)
Horror movies are my fav. (yours too chances are)and I don't wanna see them fade into non-creavtive, formulaic, unoriginal heaps of
trash they seem to be heading towards. Also in my opinion movies now need to go back to there roots of make up and hand made special effects instead of computer effects. C'mon where is the effort? Computer gore and effects looks cheap, C'mon admit it for the most part!

I don't think that HORROR is going to die. There are a lot of people looking forward to new sequels of HALLOWEEN and FRIDAY THE 13th. They may not bring anything new to the genre but they sure have their fans.

Also, I'm looking forward to see a lot of new Horror : SESSION 9, THE OTHERS... judging from Arrow's reviews these movies are gonna kick some ass and help Horror get out of the Teen-slasher Pile.

There are more people then ever on this board, another proof that Horror isn't going to die.

Well the old original old school fans like i should agree and say together in a loud voice the horror genre is slowly fading because there isnt any more of what we like, the zombies,extreme gore language and nudity..but the scream type fans should be happy for they will continue with the wannabes and the horribles...now halloween and friday the 13ths sequels coming out soon/in the future will pick up nice money and will make a few followers on the way so i dont know for sure.
