Is Spawn Any Good?

I have wanted to see this for ages, not the animated films but the live action, all of the reviews that ive read have been mixed.

well, i didn't like the movie to much because of spawns dumb ass one liners, he goes by as all bark with no bite. Hes not much like he is in Mcfarlanes kick ass comic book. I did like all the parts in the movie with clown! that guy is so damn funny! The movie trys to be like the crow with everything taken away from him, but it fails with it at angles. Also the special effects of the 8th layer of hell demon blows big time. The movie had a lot of funny lines with clown like after he sees dumb ass satanic kids "Why does God get the smart ones and were stuck with the morons". You could like it alot more than i did though. 7/10

It was a good film. Do go rent it. I liked it. But it could have done without the all CGI look for a lot of things and should have also used some regular f/x with some puppet effects.

The movie is good. But the cartoon is mutch better. Also if you rent the live action movie get the R rated directors cut not the PG-13 rated verson.

Entertaining but not a well made movie by any means. It's fun and there are some great effects (not counting the shitty Hell they made)

Rent it but don't buy it till you see it first.

I went to see "Spawn" in the movie theater, being a fan of the character, and let me tell you: it was *the* most dissapointing movie-viewing expierences I`ve ever had. The live-action "Spawn" SUCKS. It`s like the makers couldn`t decide if they wanted to make a movie for Kids or for Adults. I mean seriously, it`s like a kiddie-movie. And wait till you see the awful-looking CGI 'demon' in Hell. If I were you, I`d stick with the animated show.

I liked it alright, but what is the difference between the R-rated one and the PG-13 one? i have seen both but couldnt notice anything different?

Zombiejazon, I couldn't tell the difference between the two either. Maybe a little extra profanity here & there, but not much.

Spawn had some great special effects, and some decent action sequences, but the story itself is pretty dull.Adults won't like this movie. It's stupid and immature. Kids will love this; it's… stupid and immature! Yea!

Spawn was alright but could of been much better. A cool, dark superhero that was excellently done is Blade, the exact opposite was Spawn, it was a disappointment.

Spawn was so-so. The specail effects were great and I loved its depiction of hell. But the movie is just too hectic. There is too much going on. The movie is at times poorly edited too. And the clown guy gets a little too silly at times. The film does contain some awesome action sequences but the movie is just way to frenetic and frantic. They should have slowed things down a little bit.
