Holy Shit, Am I the only one that's surprised that Exit Wounds made 19 million dollars, this movie had flop written all over it and it took the top spot. I don't want to see it but I'm still VERY shocked that it took first place with that much money... What does everyone else think?

I was really surprised too... WTF??? How the fuck does a Steven Seagal flick make $19 over a weekend? And it looks like it sucks too! I hate it that Enemy at the Gates, a GREAT movie finished in second place with only $13.6 mil

Just think of how great EATG would have done if it would have opened in more theatres, if it would have opened in double the amount of theatres it did then it would have done REALLY good...

I have to say that Exit Wounds probably succeeded despite of Seagal, not because of him.

Once again, I TOTALLY agree with you, Tuukka! I saw the movie and hate Seagal and MOST of his flicks, but this one wasn't really about him, his fat face or his goofy clothes. It was a film that delivered lotsa action, lotsa stunts and lotsa laughs. Nothing to write home about certainly, and nothing really original, but a perfect mindless "video movie". So-called "cheap entertainment" for the night. And there were actually SEVERAL other characters in the movie that distracted the viewer from Seagal and his bad acting.

It's funny because I read somewhere (maybe here, I'm not sure) that the producers specifically asked Seagal to lose all kinds of poundage before this movie, and had a clause in his contract NOT ALLOWING him to wear his own goody clothes. Great moves on both counts...

The reason this movie made so much is because it had DMX.

Look at the statistics guys, everytime a movie comes out that has a black superstar in it - it does really well right away and then falls off the charts.

Black people keep it real by supporting their movies. Me and Logy99 always said that a pretty easy way into Hollywood would be to make a flick targeting to the Black audience.

Those are just my thoughts though.
