Suspiria is easily one of my favorite Italian horror flicks, and I don't think it's overrated at all. But I have seen many people say they thought it was stupid and boring, etc. So lets see what everyone thinks. Suspiria overrated? I don't think so!

Suspira is one of my favorite Argento movies and one of his best.

Hell No
But its weak dialouge, color scheme, and slow pacing aren't for everyone.

Overrated, NO! It's Argento's best and a classic for all slash fans.

I loved "Suspira"! The atmosphere, cinetography (sp?), and music were all totally creepy - Argento knows how to direct some scary stuff. How about that scene near the beginning where the girl is riding in a cab through the woods at night, and she sees a woman frantically running through the woods, in between flashes of lightning? That one scene alone was creepier than lots of other horror flicks.

I just watched most of it, but not all of it yet. Just up to the part where the character Sar is murdered.

I watched it today morning and the less I can say is that this was a great film.
Very good lights, good photo work, good music ( The Goblins )
I have bought this film without having rent it !! because everybody said this was a great film and I agree.

Overrated?! Hell NO!!!! I LOVE this movie. It is Argento's best and one of my fav films of all time. The cinematagraphy, directing, and music are incredible. The visuals are breath taking as is the vicious gore. The first murder is a classic!!!! A perfect film

I have a question about Argento's movies...
Are they shot in Italian and then dubbed into English?
Thanks

Some people believe that Suspiria is overrated due to the style of the film. Not everyone digs the italian style. I see Argento's films as being a sort of acquired taste. I know many people that dislike most of his work, eventhough I see him as a genius.

Hey Suspiria is great! I had to see it if Alice Cooper loves it and I thought it was cool but by far Argento's best movie is an uncut Deep Red! True the DVD transfer is a little too good in some areas and the blood a little to vibrant and sadly some missing film that leads to a back and forth english/italian dialoge but all in all it is a great suspense thriller with great gore! Has anyone else seen the Phenomena DVD with an extra I do believe 29 minutes? If not you should its great and looks beautiful!!

Suspiria is, alongside Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Dawn of the dead, one of the trult great ones! Although I didn't like the first time I saw it, I'm glad I watched it again. The ending is so fucking frightning...
If you don't like it, I recommend you watch it one more time.

I just saw in the Sunday papers Best Buy flyer that the 3 disc unrated Suspira collection is supposed to be released this Tuesday. Hopefully it won't be delayed again!!
