Has anybody seen or heard of this? I just stumbled about it at imdb, and I remember my favorite Videostore having this. It's described as an Anthology flick with people getting trapped in their worst Nightmares. Sounds like fun...anyone seen?

I remeber renting it when it hit video stores years ago and thinking it was good, either SciFi Channel or TNT ran it this past Halloween and wow pretty tame and boring.
1st story is based on the Urban Legend of a killer being in the backseat of a car.
2nd story (starring a young Emilio Estevez) is about a kid his is obsessed with a video game and making it to the final level, when he finally reaches the end things take a turn for the worse.
3rd story is about a preist who doubts his faith and leaves his church and is stalked by a black pickup truck in the desert, can you say Duel.....
4th story is about a giant rat terrorzing a family.

This a great flick!
It was originally made for TV, but was too violent, so it went to video. A must see for any horror anthology fan!

NIGHTMARES (1983) Directed by Joseph Sargent. A anthology of horror stories involving: a housewife (Cristina Raines) menaced by a psycho during a blackout in “Terror In Topanga”; “The Bishop Of Battle”, in which a young Emilio Estevez plays a teen obsessed with an evil video game; Lance Henriksen as a priest whose faith is tested by a Satanic truck (shades of “Duel”) in “The Benediction”; and Richard Masur and Veronica Cartwright portray an unhappy couple whose suburban home is terrorized by a giant rodent in “Night Of The Rat”. The first tale is the best. All downhill from there. My overall grade: B-
