Good god that is a while to wait! I hope they make one, after all these years Homer and the gang deserve the big screen!

Okay... everyone if they were to make a LIVE ACTION version of the simpsons who would you want to play the characters (allthough i really think they shouldn't at all costs)
all i have to say is
WILLIAM H. MACY FOR NED FLANDERS
and HOMER SIMPSON is uncastable (but i like Bill Murray so i'll say him)
FIRE AWAY EVERYONE!

Usually, TV shows turned into movies suck. I hope that this movie version (if in fact it is going to be made) won't ruin the once great television show. I say once great because the recent shows have been not as good as the originals.

I love The SImpsons but I think making a movie out of it is a bad idea, somethings are just better off as they are, though the South Park Movie is great.

A live action simpsons would be an interesting experiment - It would either be a triumph or a complete embarrassment.
Your casting of H Macy as Ned is spot on.
Apu - The Indian guy out of Short Circuit (cant remember his name)
Troy McLure - Steve Martin

I think this is a mistake of epic proportions. The show itself has been nothing short of awful the past four or so years, and having that packed into an hour and a half feature length film....ugh.

The indian guy out of Short Circuit was actually a white guy named Fisher Stevens in makeup, and would be the most terrible choice ever as apu.
In fact, as a huge simpsons fan i would deplore any live action attempt at the movie, as all the voices would be butchered by all these actors. Hank Azaria couldn't possibly play the multiple characters he voices, Dan Castelaneta looks nothing like homer, hes a skinny white bald guy, Yeardley Smith is the small chick from herman's head, and nancy cartwright is a woman voicing bart.

A Simpsons movie would be incredible! As for live-action casting, here are some more I thought of:
Carl Reiner as Abe Simpson
Marlon Brando as Mr. Burns
Bill Murray as Smithers
Jason Alexander as Homer

A Simpsons movie would be just AWESOME. The Simpsons without a doubt is the best TV show ever created and I believe this would smash at the box office. A live action version movie would seriously blow though. They wouldn't be able to get anyone that could duplicate the actions and voices of the characters plus they would be hard pressed to re-create the funny situations that for example Homer and Bart would get into.
