Danielle Harris: The Most Underrated Scream Queen

Shame on HALLOWEEN 6 producers for not offering the Jamie Lloyd role to Danielle Harris because she asked for too much money (which was $5000...what the fuck?).

Harris is one of the best, most underrated Scream Queens in recent (or distant) memory. She's adorable. She can act. She can cry on cue. She can SCREAM. Although she is in her early 20's now, she still looks young enough to portray a girl in her teens.

She was excellent in HALLOWEEN 4 and 5, and I loved her in URBAN LEGEND (in which SHE should have played the heroine, not Alicia Witt).

Horror filmmakers take note: HIRE THIS LOVELY LASS!

I agree with you 100% Antonio, she is great. And they should have paid her the $5,000 to be in Halloween 6, $5,000 is nothing in HOLLYWOOD, that's fucking cheap. I love Danielle Harris, she should have played the lead in Urban Legend because Alicia Witt was pretty boring, Danielle Harris would've livened things up. She's such a cutie. I wish someone would please get her a horror flick of her own...

CYC, she had a small role as a doomed Goth chick in URBAN LEGEND. Other than that, I haven't seen her in any mainstream flicks.

She stars on the CBS show THAT'S LIFE... I watch it whenever I get the chance to, it's a pretty good show. The only problem is that it came on on Saturday nights and now it's on on Friday nights, and both nights I'm usually busy. But when I'm not I watch it. It also stars Heather Paige Kent who is very charming and sexy. Anyway, Danielle is pretty good on the show. I wish she'd have some movies out soon...

MIKE, that's right! I DID see her on a couple of episodes of "That's Life"! The great Ellen Burstyn from REQUIEM FOR A DREAM also stars in that CBS series. Pretty good show.

Rule number one when making a frightening film, you have to have characters you actually care if they live or die. Enter unknown Harris a 12 year old outshining established actors. Halloween 4 and 5 would probably not even be mentioned if it wasn't for her providing some genuinely scary moments (the rooftop scene, the abandoned school, the twist ending in part 4 and the car chase and the Myers house in the chute in part 5). She outshined lead Witt in Urban Legend even though she had about five minutes of screen time. She even makes Stallone's Daylight watchable. Of course a stragicaly placed toilet would outshine Sly. Although I did like Demolition Man but that was Snipe's movie. Got off subject there. Since she didn't sell out to Hollywood she didn't become a huge star which is for the better.

I met daneille earlier this year at the fangorai weekend of Horrors in NY. She is way cool and a total sweety. Besides, she is SO CUTE!!!! An man, does she have a hot ass!!!!!! Someone, give this girl more work for chirssakes!!!!!
