Abominable Dr. Phibes

I caught this movie (and taped it) on AMC last night and I gotta say it was better than I was expecting. This Vincent Price impressed me a lot more than The House on Haunted Hill Vincent Price for sure. The movie had a lot more thrills and chills than I was expecting. I loved his manequin/puppet band! That was kinda creepy. This movie is over the top and Price's performance is outstanding as he never spoke one line but his voice came through with some type of gadget he made himself. Id like to hear from someone who has the DVD because I will probally pick this one up but I want to know how the transfer is.

A great, fun movie! Price is totally in his element here. the freaky Methods of Killing in this one a quite creative. Give Dario Argento the chance to remake this movie ( he already did a remake of WAX MASK)! I totally love this movie as well as the sequel ( which is not one bit less entertaining ) DR. PHIBES HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE. In this one all the fun and even more horrible deaths are taken to Egypt. I've not seen the original House on Haunted Hill but I'm always keeping an eye out. As for the two Dr. Phibes movies, they are both a solid 8/10 IMO.

Never saw the whole thing but I liked what I saw(the begining and the end). The scene with the locusts was cool.
