Well, it says he was uncredited, so resources like the IMDB are really the only places people will find this out. Maybe, his input was limited, he did it for a quick buck, it was some kind of clause in his contract, or was a favor for a friend. There are many reasons why he would have done this. I'm not a big Lucas fan, and while this is surprising, there are many prestigious, famous directors that have had their hands in little side projects.
