The Miniseries is pretty ok but the book is way better! I bet you will agree. The movie leaves alot of cool things out man! Why do you not rent this instead and watch it commercial cut and both parts all at once? It
is way better that way believe me! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Its the channel 4 in england, each part starts at 11.45pm and finishes at around 1.50am.
I am going to record both parts and then watch them one after the other!!!

This was a better than average made - for - tv film that's for sure.
The ending was quite ridiculous, though.
The book was more complicated than that !!

the only good part of the movie is the first half and after that when they are older it sucks with the spider thingy...clownhouse is the better clown movie!

I hate this movie, pennywise was annoying, the acting horrible, the spider thing stupid, a very bad boring move.

Can't agree there chili, the movie is one of the better stephen king adaptations around. Tim Curry was great as pennywise and the teen actors in the movie were ok. The movie was toned down from the book though. **SPOILER - for book**
note the absence of the wierd child sex scene.

Good stuff. Man, the scene where the kids are looking at the book and the figures on the pages start moving is wicked. When I saw the clown coming down the street it made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I think it is one of the better Stephen King movies.
Zing!

I think they should have just used the idea of Pennywise and the kids with something bad that happened in the past - loosely basing it on the book. There was just too much information, action, etc. that had to be left out for the mini-series to be effective. As is always the case, the book was better than the movie, although this particular King adaptation had its moments. Which is more than you can say for a lot of the other King-based movies!
