Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is my favorite book of the series (so far...) Hopefully the movie will be better than Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (which I loved sooooo much!) Does anyone have any info on the movie, any pictures (I know there are only like 3 so far...), any rumors....ANYTHING about the film......Post it here!

CHAMBER OF SECRETS is a book I loved too. I hope it'll be as good as the first Harry Potter movie, but I also hope Chris Colombus will take a little more risks on this one and make it darker. I mean, he knows he won't be around for the third one anyway and that Steven Spielberg might direct him, so he could at least be a little more creative on this one. Because all respect due, the first movie was really a litteral transcription of the book to film (even though it was good).

Here is a quote I read in Entertainment Weekly's "Guide to 2002" issue of what Columbus said about the movie:

"The first film was about introduction and discovery. The second is more of an adventure. It's a little darker, and it's a situation in which Harry is actually questioning his identity."

Although I thought the first film was pretty good, I was dissapointed, because it could have been so much better. With Chris Columbus directing this film too, im not looking forward to anything extrodinary, but I am looking forward to another good film. My personal favorite for a Harry Potter film would be #3; its just great with all the new elements added to the story (Hogsmeade, Sirius, ect.) I dont think film four should be made into a film, because of its length, but it should be made into a T.V. film - that would be the only way to do the film justice, but I dont see it happening. There is too much money to lose. Oh well,...

i can watch it any time...but is it worth it... i mean i love fantasy movies thats why
LOTR:FOTR is the best movie i had ever seen yet (offcourse Harry will not be that good )but is it worth spending time seeing it ???

Well according to die-hard LOTR fans the movie is trash...According to the rest of us the movie is average the excellent.... Personally I thought Harry Potter was the best film of last year...

Well, I mean REALLY HUGE die-hard LOTR fans.... But I must exclude Dumb-Fokker-** because he didn't like it but he didn't despise it (I think..) Everyother LOTR fan pissed on it...

Don't think that way Movie Hunter. Just see it and see how you feel. You may like it. I hate how people always have to compare LOTR and Harry Potter just because they both fit into the fantasy genre. It is possible to like both. I like them both, I just like Harry Potter better. My dad saw both and liked both a lot, but he liked LOTR better. Just fuckin see it.

I use the Harry Potter movies as a luke-warmup to the real thing, LOTR movies. For instance, I saw that first HP movie, I forget what happened in it, once, and now I have seen LOTR:FOTR 10 times, as of this date.

Will people please stop this stupid rivalry between LOTR and Hayy Potter. Why cant a person enjoy both movies. I personally enjoyed Harry Potter more because im a Harry Potter fan (and 20 years old) but I still enjoyed LOTR
