Last night I had the pleasure of watching the film Night School, I must say this is one good film. Filmed like an Americanized Giallo, it features some great acting, effective ( and there's like no gore) murder scenes and an awsome unexpected ending. The only downside about this film is the fact that the killer isn't much of a suprise and were was the main cops wife for the second act, but I didn't feel it took away from the movie that much.

My Grade- A (F - A+ scale)

My reason for the A. Since I can't give a great reason to give it any lower, and all movies I watch start out at an A+ and either stay at that or get lower I have no other option to give it an A (only marked off for a not to suprising killer, and it doesn't add any new innovations to the slasher.. But hell does every movie need to be perfectely New and creative, no not if I had one hell of a time like I did with this flick.

you should start your rating at B,
with A, you are too easy on them http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

yes the way a story is told is very important, sometime more than the story itself.

This movie is pretty weak. Wasn't scary at all, the killer is pretty predictable, the actors are bad, there's little to no gore, and it was boring. It dragged in parts. Bad movie in my opinion.

I start my rating with an A+ because if i haven't found anything to dislike there's no reason to start it any lower.

Although NIGHT SCHOOL is not the worst of its type (Americanized giallo slashers), it still doesn't pack a wallop in the suspense department, and most of the characters were very unsympathetic. I did, however love the gorgeous Rachel Ward in the lead role. The other women in the film weren't pretty enough for this poor attempt to copy the work of Italian filmmakers, most notably Dario Argento. The cops were distracting and Ward's boyfriend nowhere near the superstud status he imagined himself to be. A couple of cool twists in the end and, a rather effective opening sequence kill and a Hitchcockian scene in a diner (the owner unwittingly serves up one of his murdered waitresses in a pot o' beef stew!) make this slasher mediocre. One of those "coulda been a contenda" movies!

No Andy this films is not that good, for some scenes it was good but not more.
The dialogues are awful, the murders are not graphic ( off screen ).
The major flaw is the identity of the killer which is way too easy to guess !!!!!!!
A nude scene in the shower, that's all.
4/10

night school that movie was bad, the only good thing about the movie was the nudity and oh yeah, i liked that funky music that would play when the killer was there.
