Has anyone seen this film? It's an intensely uncanny and creepy movie with Donald Sutherland as a man with esp-like powers. Not cheesy at all - very understated, and, well, just bloody creepy. Like skin-crawling creepy. I highly recommend it (for those of you who haven't seen it already).

Yes! Cool movie and I enjoyed it very much. It has a good plot and the suspense keeps you motivated to watch throughout!! The ending is great. Although that love making scene between Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie has got to go!! Yuck!!!! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/tongue.gif

Yes,I have seen this movie. Unfortunately I can't remember all that occured, but I do remember certain scenes. I remember when the daughter drowned, and the weird reaction from her father as he held her to him. It was pretty creepy, but I'll have to rent it again to be sure what exactly happened.

DON'T LOOK NOW is coming to DVD shortly (on the same day THE TENANT, another one of my all time faves, is released...), and I only pray they do it up right, with a commentary, documentary, etc. This is, IMO, one of the greatest and most underrated horror films of all time. Incredibly sad, emotionally devastating, and freaking nightmarish all at the same time. Brilliant.

A bit boring but the end was really a surprise and did not see it coming.
SPOILER this red dwarf killing Sutherland.
A bit atmospheric, too.
I feel sad for the little girl at the beginning.

DON’T LOOK NOW (1973) Directed by Nicolas Roeg. Adapted from the chilling story by Daphne du Maurier (“The Birds”), this psychothriller (with slasher undertones) concerns a couple (Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie) who travel to Venice after the tragic drowning of their young daughter, and become embroiled in several supernatural goings-on involving a blind psychic and a mad slasher wearing a red plastic rain slicker. Artsy, atmospheric and slow-paced, this is one of the better psychological thrillers out there, punctuated by a steamy sex scene between the two leads and the creepy Venician locales. Very scary in some spots, including the genuinely shocking, brutal ending. My grade: B+
